Would a US Passport Card (I'm a US citizen) be good enough for any ID requirements within London casinos? I'm going to visit in July and would rather not have to carry my passport itself on me.
Its - Possessive; It's - "It is" / "It has"; There - Location; Their - Possessive; They're - "They are"

A few London casinos now allow walk in without ID (but if you wager/win a lot you'll need to provide some ID).
I know there are a few on the forum who have been in London casinos so may know for certain - ref https://wizardofodds.com/blog/gambling-united-kingdom/ where several of us went to the Leicester Square area and out to Aspers.
fwiw I've never heard of a US Passport Card so can imagine a receptionist - which is where you sign for membership - not knowing of one.

Passport card looks like a drivers license. They are issued by the passport people and are only good for travel by land and sea.
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.

Any government issued ID should be acceptable as long as your picture is on it.

Passport cards are an abbreviated Passport, in essence. You have to pay a little extra to them (x4 for my family), but are supposed to be a good substitute for your passport in 'most' instances. Yes, they about the size and weight of a 'normal' US drivers license. If the friendly employee down at your local US Postal facility forgets to ask for the passport cards, along with your expiring passports, when you try to renew? Well, the USA will demand you mail/Fed-x/UPS your old cards in immediately, to help 'expedite' your new passport. Aaaaargh! Was just trying to renew the passports for my 10 and 12 yr old sons. Had to make an appt, weeks out was all that was available, then go stand in line, a long line (even with an appt). The guy was nice, but he still messed up. It's hard to get everything right anymore ;-(Quote: GWAEPassport card looks like a drivers license. They are issued by the passport people and are only good for travel by land and sea.

Ill add this here instead of starting a new thread.
By October first 2020 in order to fly you will need a REAL ID license even for domestic air travel. They add a yellow star to your ID.
From my understanding and what the girl @ the DMV told me, NV residence will need a SS card, proof of residence, birth certificate she said you could use your W2 in lieu of something else. Not sure if it will be the same across the board for all states, I'm sure it will.
Again this is what she was telling me so research the information for the exact requirements.
probably just another money making scheme from the government. If it speeds up the TSA and there is less fondling and BS I'll be happy to do it.
Oh and if we are safer for it.
