So there hasn't been much written about comps in the last year. I'm thinking about starting to play blackjack in AC and I like the idea of being a comp hustler (I live in NYC). Can anyone who plays there regularly tell me what the state of comps are? Some year old posts say the Borgata is best for comps while others say the Taj. Do pit bosses have any sway anymore or has it all gone digital? I've never done this before so I'm totally new to all this. My goal is to start with a bankroll of $5,000 for steady green chip play. Obviously my casino of choice needs to have tables with the best odds in my favor (pay 3:2, stand on soft 17, etc) but I want to get the most bang for my buck. No I don't want to play for comps, period. I want to win money. But I'm no card counter and I like the idea of being a comp hustler and having a place to go on mini-vacations for cheap. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Golden nugget and the Caesars properties seem pretty easy on comps although Caesars tougher weekends. Borgata and trop have an itchy finger to freeze/revoke comp accounts.

I went to the tropicana twice in the span of 3 weeks played probably 15 hours total with a 25$ avg bet. They keep sending emails that Sunday-Friday two nights are comped and both times I was there got two buffet tickets

A little play at Trop chasing Must Hits and UX got me free room offers and Wawa gift card offers with not much through. Sure it would dry up with no play but worth trying if you are willing to burn yourself on future offers.
