How do I calculate casino comps into my total return?

Currently the casino I play at offers 1 point for every $10 coin in for VP, and $5 for every 1000 points in free play. I was recently comped $130 for a room and $20 in free food. Can you please show me how to calculate these into my return? I play $.25 JOB. Thank you so much! |

(Pretty stingy -- sounds like you are playing at a Harrah's property.) You can use the point for freeplay, which is not cash back, but is almost as good if you re-play it in Jacks or Better. The comps are harder to calculate. I like to use 50% of the cash price. But they are worth nothing if you were not going to use them anyway. It's up to you personally how to add them to your return. If you were planning to stay and eat there anyway, you are saving money and should consider that. You'll be a net loser in the long run, but get some free vacations out of it.
