I just won $25 in slot play by playing tic tac toe with a chicken. Yes, you read that right. Anyway what should I do with it? Should I play slots? Should I play the cheap machines or go for the higher dollar ones? I think they will also let you play video poker with this money too. I'm thinking that is probably my best bet. They have machines that are marked 9/6 video poker, which I was thinking of doing. But again the question is playing the higher or cheaper machines. Sorry for my ignorance on this, but I don't usually play machines unless I only got 2 or 3 bucks left then I will try my chances. I'm just looking at what will give me the best chances of making more on this money. I also thought of playing one hand in video poker and cashing out to play the tables but I don't know if it will let me do this. Any thoughts?

If allowed and playing for pure profit, use it on the best video poker you can find. If playing for pure entertainment, play it on whatever you like.

Do whatever you would play real money on.

No, you have to play through it all.

Even very basic play at 9/6 JOB VP is better than most any dumb slot machines. So do that. Play for the lowest denomination, but bet max coins.

I second MrV's opinion. Go for broke -- you're not a slot player, so if you lose playing a quarter game it'll be the same impact as losing playing a $5 game. But if you win at the higher denom game, you're much happier. In order, I'd play the following:
1) One spin of a 2-coin, $10 machine, followed by one hand of $1 VP (Double Double Bonus) at max coin.
2) One hand of $5 VP at max coin

On the flip side, you could always just sit down in front of a high production value penny slot and enjoy the show for half an hour or so. Look for the ones with the biggest LCD screens and fanciest cabinets as a starting point. You're much less likely to win big bucks, but let's face it -- you're probably more interested in entertainment than big bucks if you play tic tac toe with a chicken. :)

Heck, go for broke. Find something big they will let you use it on Bet Player at Baccarat; or Red at Roulette or even crank it through that JoB 9/6 machine to at least get a good deal. You don't know much about other slot machines and obviously don't want to since its such a high house edge rip off, so find something half way enjoyable and go for it.

This is SLOT PLAY....not a table coupon.

What is there to know about playing a slot machine?

I hate slots and my wife plays them!!! At least I got her to play VP sometimes.

I tell her, "You know a monkey can play a slot machine."

Her reply is "Yeah.....but every once in a while the monkey wins!"
