Reel Rewards

In the past, I and my wife have received these and when used in video poker games it seemed as we never did as well as when we had put in real dollars (money). We have also noticed that a number of games are not eligible for using reel rewards (which makes me more suspicious of their value). My questions are: in the electronic games/slots are these tickets read differently because they are essentially the casino's money, ie, do the odds change with their use? How would the wizard use these comps? Thanks and I really enjoy both of your Wizard sites. |

The reason some machines are not eligible for reel rewards is that (1) They are not technogically advanced enough to download it or (2) The house advantage on those machines is too low (e.g., video poker) and the casino prefers you to play it on a higher house edge machine (e.g., slots). I've hit a royal using freeplay before. The only place I've been that didn't allow you to download your freeplay credits on video poker was at Horsehoe Southern Indiana. Coincidentally (NOT), this is a Harrah's property. Greektown Casino in Detroit has 9/6 JoB and NSUD vp for example but you cannot use your freeplay on these games. But you CAN use them on the vp games with worse paybacks. "Shut up Meg."

Word to the wise: Those are the games you want to play with cash, if you're gonna play cash at any traditional slot machine....
