Strange note about today’s word


It isn’t in the original list of official solution words.

Wordle had two banks of words. Words that are eligible as solution words (around 2000 words) and words that are permissible to be submitted (another ~7000 words). KAZOO was a word that was not supposed to be permissible as a final solution.

I’m not sure if this is the first time this has happened or not. They may have expanded the list because 2000 solutions will only last you so long before you have to start repeating words.

Yes, they are all different words. I must of accidentally seen a leaked view from the front page of Wov when it bleeds through to get the first word. But I obviously missed the first letter subconsciously.

I try to avoid looking at the page in the shortened format, as it doesn’t preview in the forum link, but sometimes i forget.

The asterisk shows that I was in "hard mode." It looks like there is a little bug in Wordle's hard mode program. Hard mode allowed me to play "knave" even though we see from "verge" that "e" could not be in the 5th spot.
