Forbidden items on lugagge

I ahve been searching the web for answers, but have found none. So seeing as many in this forum often travel, I thought it a good place to ask:

Can I pack a set of kitchen knives in my checked luggage when flying internationally?

I know I shouldn't even take a set of nail clippers in the carry-on lugagge these days (hell, not even a metal nail file), but it seems for checked lugagge the limitations are thigns that might endanger the aircraft, like chemicals, pressurised containers, inflamable materials, etc. So I should think a set of knives ought to be allowed, but I'm not sure.

Yes, you can pack kitchen knives in CHECKED luggage, but not in a carry-on.

Funny I spent part of the weekend searching adn didn't think to check the TSA website... Just goes to show you, something. :)

If I make it to the convention, I can give you a set of knifes from my culinary art class. Only went to accompanyr my Schitzo-effective
daughter. Like to get them out of the house before next fight with my wife. LOL
