His father built a business around Soltam, an Israeli defence contractor. Most of the defence interests were sold and the family diversified. Why hasn't Harrah's created a billionaire? Yes he is a slumlord. Since he purchased the Plaza, the Vegas Club, the Western, the Gold Spike in 2004, and many other empty lots downtown, he has done nothing significant except to sell the Gold Spike. And I did mean 1.5 billion pounds. There are people who compare lists of billionaires. Poju has never been on the Forbes list despite making several other lists.
