My boyfriend and his friends enjoy doing stupid things in his car. Just 5 minutes ago I found out they went drifting, it snowed last night, and there's black ice everywhere. They took videos and thought it was the coolest thing ever. He and his friends do things like this often, they're completely stupid and don't think anything through. I'm really angry at him, and these types of actions make me feel like shit.
Am I completely overreacting? I understand people do it all the time, it's fun and all that good stuff. But it's dangerous, and the last thing in the world i want is for him to get hurt. Is it completely unreasonable for me to want him to stop doing actions like this?
I want him to have fun with his friends, but it's dangerous and i don't want him to get arrested, or hurt.

No they don't.

Yes. Or no. Depending on your point of view.

He'll never change until someone gets seriously hurt. Or killed.

You're only fooling yourself to think you'll get him to change by begging.

The best thing you can do is to leave him.
Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood?

My boyfriend ...
Do you see any long term potential in this guy? He is headed for the ER or the Jail Cell or both. If he is completely stupid and doesn't think things through, he will never make much of an employee anywhere and so will always be poor. He is probably going to be out with his friends, not at home supporting kids or anything. So what sort of return on your investment in him do you see yourself getting?

The universe tends to weed out the stupid
at a very young age.

And you chose a gambling site (1st post) to air your problem? Marry him, he'll change. Hope you don't have kids!

I apologize for the inaccurate category, that I posted this in.
I was initially on http://wizardofodds.com/ask-the-wizard/relationships/
And I looked around and this was the only place I could submit. I put it in 'advice'. Now if you don't want to give your advice that is your own choice.
If you have such a problem with my mistake then don't read it.

I grew up on a lake and once it froze my friends and I would do this all winter long. Most of us had muscle cars and it was a lot of fun. I do not recommend this for the highway.

I'm assuming you are fairly young. If he gets caught, they'll throw the book at him.

Back off, give him some room.

He's doing nothing that I haven't done.

Oh yeah, post the vid.
