| Tiltpoul Member since: May 5, 2010 Threads: 28 Posts: 1147 | So I am planning a trip to Vegas at some point in August. I am a Diamond player so I get a ton of options for free rooms in Las Vegas. On previous trips, I've stayed at various properties: 1) Bally's: I miss the Big Kitchen Buffet, probably the most underrated in Vegas when it was open... the casino is small and pleasant, but not so good on gaming options, except last year they had a good UTH table. 2) Paris: Beautiful rooms, nice casino, and I would stay there again, except I like to try different places. 3) Flamingo: Mediocre room, very mediocre casino with bad options for gaming, but central to everything. So I want to stay at either Caesars or Planet Hollywood on this trip. I was reading the reviews on this website, but cannot decide on my own. If you would vote in the poll, if you recommend any of the above rooms. I have a while before I have to book, so any help would be great. [Profile updated... more to come] |

I still really like Caesars as a property. Harrah's hasn't been able to destroy its mystique, no matter how hard they've tried. By the way, Harrah's cut me off from free rooms completely this month after I used a bunch on my roadtrip and didn't give them much play. I find at local casinos that they are more than willing to give rooms away regardless of whether you play or not. However, your cash coupons go down significantly. I play at Horseshoe Southern Indiana quite a bit and found that where I used to get $60 in free slot play and $20 in food comps and three free buffets, I still get the free rooms, but only get $20 and no food comps and 2 buffets. I give about the same amount of play (maybe a bit more even); who knows... [Profile updated... more to come] |

Based on previous visits to their casino, there are a lot of attractive, young, scantily clad women there. Employees and guests. I've never gotten worthwhile comp offers for Caesar's Palace. And I've never felt particularly comfortable on that property, except for the poker room. |

They give food credit and free play that covers the cost of your room! It's a 2 block walk to the Fremont Street Experience, but you have a lot of choices in a small area. Here is the link to there web site.....El Cortez and good luck! I am going to win the World Series of Poker!! (someday) |

| RaleighCraps Member since: Feb 20, 2010 Threads: 29 Posts: 601 | I was a Diamond player when my wife and I stayed at Caesar's 2 years ago. I got a free upgrade to a suite overlooking the topless pool, although, much to my chagrin, we were so high the view could not be fully appreciated. ;-) Nicest room we have ever been in. We were there for 6 days. The problem is I like to play where I stay, and unless you are Diamond, headed to 7 star, you will not get any love at Caesar's. To give you an idea of my play that trip, I was up $3K on craps after 1 1/2 days of play, and I ended the trip down $3k, so I managed to piss away 6k in 4 days, yet I felt like a flea. If you are not betting green and black, you are wasting their time. I like to chat with the craps dealers, and I usually get noticed for my tips, but they were all too preoccupied talking among themselves, or trying to please the guys, and gals, playing blacks and purples. I also watched them piss off a guy who 20 minutes prior had taken a $30K marker. All over a missed pay on a $100 bet (The dealer and box were wrong, and the tape proved it.) The guy was so pissed off, he paid the marker off and left, up about $3K. Since I play craps exclusively, my experience may only be a craps problem, and the other table games could be just fine. For my wife and I though, while we really enjoyed the room, we hated the gaming attitudes. We both agree that Paris is a much better fit for us. Always borrow money from a pessimist; They don't expect to get paid back !

| Ike Member since: Jan 13, 2011 Threads: 0 Posts: 41 | Agree 100%. You're the first person to echo my opinion. I've always been sick reading about everyone loving CP. I play to about the same level as you, and play mostly craps and blackjack. I bet green and black on table games, and usually have 100+ on the layout every roll in craps. I've been treated very very well by all CET properties, and had always stayed at Paris or Flamingo for its location. That was until last year when we finally decided to use a CP room comp. The room was very nice, but wow, the table games department really needs to go back to customer service class. They were terrible. They made you feel like you were there to please them, not the other way around. I am a well above average tipper, but CP dealers didn't seem to care. They were rude...extremely rude. |

| timberjim Member since: Dec 5, 2009 Threads: 27 Posts: 261 | It looks like everyone here has the same opinion of Ceasars as I do. Very nice hotel - great service - great rooms. Table games generally dealt by very unpleasant people who could care less about you if you are only playing greens. I always ended up walking across the street to Paris to play and my last trip had a very nice stay there. |

| Ike Member since: Jan 13, 2011 Threads: 0 Posts: 41 | Paris has some of the friendliest, nicest blackjack dealers on the strip. Their craps crews are hit and miss, but still head and shoulders above CP. Being mainly a CET player, Flamingo's dealers have seemed to go downhill recently as well. I'm really starting to enjoy playing craps at Imperial Palace though. The atmosphere is not stuffy, everyone is there to have fun, the dealers really appreciate the tips, the casino seems to appreciate your action and above all I always have fun there win or lose. In recent trips, I've stayed at Paris and concentrated my play at Paris and IP. I have vowed to never again gamble in CP, it just isn't worth it. Not sure what the appeal of that place is anymore... |

| ten2win Member since: Jul 27, 2010 Threads: 15 Posts: 129 | After seeing Jerry Seinfeld last month at CP, I was not impressed at all(JS was excellent). The casino area between the forum shops and the sportsbook was looking terribly run down and dingy. We strolled around the table games pit and it gave a vibe of intimidation...not welcome, we're glad to see you. The funny thing was, every dealer in that pit had blue hair and was a relic from the CP of years gone by(shiny, blingy CP medallion dangling from an open collar shirt, slicked back hair, looking very disinterested). Maybe the HET retirement home for dealers! No wonder all the action was in the party pit with the scantily clad dealers and bad BJ rules. I couldn't even make myself gamble there. BTW, Mesa Grill....Nothing great, so-so food, too much hype and having to give a credit card to get a reservation just rubs me the wrong way! I've said it before: Anytime the casino offers a bet for less than the table minimum, ask yourself why. --DJTeddyBear |
