So promoting inexperienced dealers to be inexperienced pit bosses makes a certain sense if that is the only pool you have to draw from. Obviously there was a demand and at least on the weekends they didn't lack for higher action players, so they just decided to stick with green chip action on craps or get lost. Well, its possibly a good attitude for them to take. |

It's too crowded, the tables are mostly jammed too close to the main entrance, and if I'm going to play $25 mins, I don't feel like playing in a can of sardines. My wife doesn't like the fact Charles Town refuses to install the more popular slots (Wheel of Fortune, Sex and the City, etc). I know they have VLTs in WV, but so does MD and they have all of the forementioned machines. It's not like they don't have the money for it. I have a feeling MD is going to pass legislation authorizing a referendum on table games next spring (MD mandates a referendum on any gaming law changes), and it will be passed next November. With all the money flowing out to PA/DE/WV, it makes no sense not to have them, from both a jobs and revenue perspective. Caesars/Harrah's was the only bidder last wk for the Baltimore casino (~4000 machines), and the 5000 machine parlor adjacent to the Arundel Mills Mall will open in about a year. With slots alone, I think they'd give CT a run for its money (~5000 slots), but it'll be really interesting if both are full casinos. |

I would think 15-25 for BJ and 15-25 with 2x odds on craps if my memory serves me right. -B |

I have to disagree with you. When I first came there, about 18 months ago, the dealers were inexperienced - one almost paid me for boxcars when I was playing the dark side. But things have changed! I noticed that the dealers at Charles Town are now on par with what I've seen in New Mexico or Nevada. Of course, the dealers in Atlantic City take the cake for nastiness, but I don't want to go off topic. |

In AC at least in the Harrahs casino i have played at most dealers and almost all, except for a couple, of pit bosses have been unbelievably sweet to me and my wife. |

Was the racing there better back then? Because it's pretty awful now. |
