In NYC, many small ,mostly storefront, churches are fronts for illegal cardrooms.

LOL. No money was found being wagered, so not enough evidence to establish that there was illegal gaming. Yeah, sure! 100 slots is no small investment for a bit of innocent amusement. What are the chances that these wicked church goers discouraged the sheriff with a bit of $per$ua$ion$Quote: heatmaphttps://www.foxnews.com/us/illegal-gambling-room-discovered-inside-houston-church

Most amusing to me is that the church was also probably tax exempt.
Did they have waitresses handing out 'communion'?
Did handpays have a tithe witheld?
Quite a feelgood story, on so many levels. Proper 'mischief' $:o) I wonder what news this was meant to distract us from?
Psalm 25:16
Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.
Proverbs 18:2

In NYC if you get pulled over with a roulette wheel or slot machine in your trunk, you’re going to jail.

Assuming they use real money and just hide it well, I wonder how they protect themselves from slot cheats?

Living in the immediate area probably cuts down on vice raids.

Update!
The slot machines belong to someone else.
The church only rents part of the building from their landlord. Someone else rents the other half where the slot machines were found.
