Have the limits come down at all? I know they were majority $25 tables at DE Park and majority $50+ tables at Charles Town, but I have to imagine that's going to come down some now that the summer traveling season is over and the novelty has worn off a bit. The rules definitely seem better at DE Park than Charles Town, from what I've heard (higher odds on craps, all S17 3:2 blackjack).

Also, anyone know what the poker scene is like at DE Park? Tournament schedule doesn't look too bad for a standalone casino.

I was at DE Park around 2pm the Thursday of Memorial Day weekend and the limits were:

BJ-$10/$15/$25/50
3CP - $10/$15
LIR - $5
Craps -$10/$15
Roulette - $5/$10

All games had multiple tables at each denomination except LIR which only had one open $5 table.

I'm guessing you mean Labor Day wknd? That's not that bad at all...slightly cheaper than the nicer AC places and sounds like a lot cheaper than Hollywood Casino WV.

As of a few weeks ago, Charles Town was still $25/50 for blackjack - I think now it's about 75/25 for that makeup. I intend to go back around Veterans Day and recon then to see if being open for 5 months makes a difference. Even at $25, there still is a 15-30 min wait for a seat at any blackjack table.

On a side note, supposedly the poker room here is slated to go 24/7 soon.

I'll be out that way in a few weeks, I wonder if I can cram in long enough to get my souvenir $5 chip. They have a very cool, Christmas-like look about them (deep red with white/deep green/white edge spots).

I've heard rumors that $5 blackjack is back in AC with the hit they're taking from PA/DE/WV; I did see a $5 craps table working at Trop AC on a Friday night earlier this year, no $5 blackjack, but no problem finding a $10 table. PA and DE do have more liberal blackjack rules, but AC's aren't that bad except for the H17 tables and craps is consistent 5X odds (I've heard Charles Town is 2X, which is abysmal at $25 mins).

I read somewhere the high limits at CTown are due to a lack of dealers being licensed and the state being slow about it. That might have been why things started out that way, but now that they see they can pack the house at $25 mins, they'd be fools to lower it. I'd almost be scared to know what the limits are in their high limit nook. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were $200 or $300 mins.
