I suffer from C.R.S., so it's easier and safer to just tell the truth when possible.
Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood?

I don't/can't lie. I pledged to be honest when I was a teenager, and I'm only aware of one lie that I've told since. I used to think it made me noble and dignified. Now I realize that it just makes me a freak who is incapable of forming any sort of meaningful connection with other human beings.

Same here, but I rarely adopt that easier and safer path and tend to live by the motto "Never tell the truth if a lie will do half as well". Of course, that in itself may be a lie.

Riddle time!

You come to a fork in the road. One path leads to a village where everyone tells the truth. The other path leads to a village where everyone tells lies. Someone comes from behind from one of the two villages, but you don't know which. You may ask him one question to determine which path goes to which village. What do you ask?
It's not whether you win or lose; it's whether or not you had a good bet.

Ask him, "If I were to ask you the road that leads to the village where everyone tells the truth, what would you say?"
"The Roman Empire wasn't planned, but neither did it 'just happen.'"

In The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser (Jeder für sich und Gott gegen alle), Werner Herzog makes a minor change in the question, for a completely different result.
