This is from FREEHOLD HARNESS RACING JAN 10/14
The track conditions were sloppy with maybe a little bit of ice under that sloppy top.... to see the race click the link select JAN 10 and race 5
watch the first turn of the race
Lets hope all involved are okay

Sorry but I don't need to see another wreck. I've see hundreds.
I remember back in the 70's and 80's all the networks would replay races over and over and over again involving horses that sustained catastrophic injuries. They showed the great Go for Wand breakdown in the Breeders Cup, 10 ways from Sunday as well as the Champion Ruffian breakdown in the battle of the sexes against Foolish Pleasure.
Dog racing fans laugh when the dogs are involved in a huge wreck in the first turn....flipping, tumbling, etc.

I reemeber in the 50's and 60's when owners would boycott a jockey or jockies who refuse to rude on muddy or frozen and dangerous surfaces.
Shed not for her
the bitter tear
Nor give the heart
to vain regret
Tis but the casket
that lies here,
The gem that filled it
Sparkles yet

Yeah I couldn't click on the link. Maybe I have gotten soft but I just can't watch anything now where an animal could be hurt.
To make up for it I watched something that causes the effect known as "douche chills" where you see someone struggling on camera and empathize with them

I am thinking it did not end well. The race 5 has been removed and the link for race 6 says the rest of the day has been cancelled.
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.
