I'm back from a great Vegas trip that ended in disappointment. There were no fireworks on the Strip on the 4th. Apparently Caesar's had them on the 3rd, but that isn't the birthday of our great nation.

The Strip was packed with people waiting for fireworks of some kind, and we all left disappointed after a police cruiser drove by announcing "There are no fireworks tonight." Lame.

Yes, I should blame myself for insufficient information. But I could not imagine a world where the Vegas strip would forgo an opportunity to party. Apparently all those outside that evening were similarly mislead.

I know where I will be spending my 4th's from now on, and it ain't the Vegas strip.

Laughlin had pretty good fireworks on the Fourth.

Some of the Stations casinos had them on the Fourth too, but not the ones near the Strip. Mandalay Bay had fireworks at their "beach", but there was a charge.
