Hi all,

So just had a quick question that should be fun given the amount of knowledge on these forums.

If you had to recommend one player's card for me to play the most on, which one would it be?

Here are the factors you can work into the equation:

Anywhere in Vegas or the immediate surroundings.

300 a month or so loss limit

Mainly VP with light slots and table games

Food and Freeplay would take priority over room comps.

Free Travel not a priority

Local Perks would be a plus

Casino visitation would be 2-3 times per week at main casino.

Thanks in advance. I'm looking forward to seeing the answers. If you guys need any more info to make your determination, please let me know.

I'd say Station Casinos' card should be considered, but then again, there are others here who have much better knowledge of players cards and their perks.

Given those criteria, I'd do Stations first, then probably Boyd. I do a lot of national travel, so Caesars Total Rewards is my own primary card; but, in Vegas I lean pretty heavily on Stations and I've been happy with the offerings.

Given that food/freeplay seems more important to you than rooms, i'd say Stations is your best bet. The TR program at Caesars properties is more beneficial for room comps and casinos outside Vegas(properties in about 22 states I think). But very stingy with freeplay and food comps. MLife to me is a total waste unless you are a pretty high roller. Boyds is not much better but I have limited experience with them.

The local places give you more bang for your buck, if you are a local, who is less interested in free rooms, more interested in food and free play from mailers.

Stations is NOT the best, but they do have the advantage of more locations to choose from, if you don't want to always play the same casino.

But, in accordance with your criteria, I am going to share my top local casino as far as mailers. It probably isn't one you would think of. EASTSIDE CANNERY. I believe they have the top mailers and their format suites your schedule. They will send you a primary mailer based on your play and the free play amounts are disproportionately high for your amount of play. Putting through a relatively modest amount of play thru, like 3 grand will get you a mailer that has $30 - $40 per week in free play. It also will have one free buffet per week.

In addition they have at least one secondary mailer and promotion every month. Usually some sort of scratch off card that must be scratched off at the players club on specific days, usually two or three different specific days each week. Sometimes instead of a scratch off, they have some sort or 'match' game were they mail you a card that has certain symbols, 2 or three different days of the week. You have to go to the casino to see what prize matches what symbol. Those prizes will generally double your weekly free play amounts. If you are receiving $30 free play every week on your primary mailer, you can expect to get $10, $12, $15 amounts, twice a week, on the secondary promotion, usually in free play, sometimes cash, sometimes food credit.

Then they have a little newspaper that they mail to current payer card members each month, telling about different news, shows, and promotions. In that newspaper there are paper coupons, usually two (2) $10 match pay coupons and two (2) more free or half price buffet coupons.

And lastly they usually have some sort of special days, also listed in the newspaper where a limited amount of play gets additional free play and /or food credits. Example, for October 500 points earned in Sundays gets you an additional $10 free play, pus a free brunch buffet. 750 points earned on Thursdays gets you an additional $15 free play, plus a free buffet.

So it is multiple promotions, designed to get you to the casino 3 or 4 times a week, but if you hit the special days, it all adds up to a very nice return. By far the best of the 15+ mailers I get each month. Plus of course you earn points for your actual free play.

If you want something a little simpiler, like just one monthly mailer with free play and food credits, I guess my top casinos would be Club Fortune in Henderson, and 'D' downtown. Also Jerry's nugget is pretty strong. They give weekly cash, instead of free play. Stations would probably be my 4 the pick.

Great info KJ- thank you. Wish I was a local so I could take advantage.

Do you have to play negative games to get mailers? I just checked VP free and all their good games are "excluded from promotions".

"excluded from promotions" and "excluded from multipliers" are different things, or at least I hope they are. :P vpFREE2 says the latter.
