Some examples of stop goals mentioned on this site:
double or nothing
+/- 50% of bankroll
+30%/-50% of bankroll
no win goal but variable loss goal --> if up 50%, stop when back to break even. if up 100%, stop when you go back down to +50%, etc

Has anyone done an analysis of the various stop goals?
Which is best?

i use double or nothing (or when i'm no longer having fun).
but now i'm thinking of using a variable stop loss. no downside, lots of upside?

in Craps with $10min and 3/4/5x odds, i walk to the table with $1500.

if i have all the #s (4,5,6,8,9,10), i have $300 on the table.
i play till i win $900. at that point, i play till i drop down to +$600. if i go up to 1200, then new stop limit = 900.
In other words, i raise my stop limit in $300 increments.

Opinion of my new variable stop loss strategy (as opposed to double or nothing)?

When playing without a loss rebate, there is no optimum stop goal. It's all one big session. Using the word 'optimum' in this context is demeaning to the word.

There is no optimum. It is all personal preference to you. Stop when you are not having fun.

First of all, understanding that math-wise it doesn't affect the HA or odds, it's just about making yourself quit while you're ahead or not too far behind.

Yeah, I think pushing the goalposts is one of the better ways. Another method could be to tie your pause trigger to certain events. For instance, a deal with yourself that after a 7-out followed by craps, you stop and leave if you're behind, or sit out at least one roll and consider leaving if you're ahead.
