When Seneca Niagara first opened, my buddy and I sat down at the lowest stakes BJ table, I don't recall if it was a $5 or a$10, and we handed in our shiny new Players Cards, and probably cashed in for $200 each. We asked the pit boss how long and for how much we'd have to be gambling to 'earn' a free lunch buffet. His answer.. "You just did, enjoy your time here at Seneca Niagara." And he proceeded to give us the buffets.

At the Beau Rivage in Biloxi.
I just came off a nice $4500 win after a couple of hours of play at a craps table on a Saturday afternoon. Stopped in to to see a host, and asked if I had enough play for them to comp my wife and I at their top steak place, BR Prime. Host looked at my play, and said they would comp me for up to $250.
We ended up spending $350 on the meal, and another $100 on the tip. They comp'd it all anyway, except the tip.

I always pay for the tip. I think it has to do with compensation rules. If I pay, it is a tip. If the casino pays it, it is compensation, and they would have to pay the extra taxes associated with earned compensation.
Always borrow money from a pessimist; They don't expect to get paid back ! Be yourself and speak your thoughts. Those who matter won't mind, and those that mind, don't matter!
