Losing is bad enough, but what kind of things happen to you that rubs salt in the wound?

Classic for me (although I try to avoid doing it) is having a game lose lose lose, until you're nearly tapped out, so you throw a few reduced bets and of course something big finally comes up.

I think half the other reason for cameras is it prevents damage to the property for those of us who might like to take a swing at something. Although, from what I've seen, that's not always a deterrent for some people.

I will not alter the amount I bet just in case that happens. I'll walk away from a machine with a ticket for $1.25 if I've been playing $1.50 each time. I know I would be a sourpuss the rest of the evening if I 'won' while betting less than I had been betting. I'd rather walk away and try another random number generator.
Someday, joor goin' to see the name of Googie Gomez in lights and joor goin' to say to joorself, "Was that her?" and then joor goin' to answer to joorself, "That was her!" But you know somethin' mister? I was always her yuss nobody knows it! - Googie Gomez

I was playing a QuickHits Progressive, Max Betting, of course, which was $1.50/pull in that case. I had $50.00 coin-in, and I was down to about $4.xx, and hit for miracle Free Games. I ended up drawing 16 Free Games (Two 11 Free Games Squares + Wild +5 Bonus Games) at 2x pays.

Every single one of them missed!

You get the $1.50 back automatically for the, "Free Games," result, so that's what I got.

The machine:

http://ballytech.com/games/class3/video-slots/quick-hit-platinum-blackwhite-sevens-black-gold-wild-starsbars-triple-blazing-7s-wild-jackpot-1270.html

Triple Blazing-7's Wild Jackpot, has a hit rate of 50.19%

The miss rate is therefore, 49.81%

.4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 * .4981 = x

0.00001435703198 = x --- 1/0.00001435703198 = 1:69,652 probability of this occurring.

That's pretty sickening.

NEXT

I was doing a rare BJ only session and had sat at the Table with $100. I was down to $60 after two hours, so not doing too bad, but starting to get bored. I was betting $10/hand at this point and got dealt 7/7 against a dealer 5. I split my 7's and picked up another 7 on the first hand, split those sevens.

I ended up with totals of 10, 11 and 9. I doubled across the Board, naturally. I think my highest total on any of the hands was sixteen, working from a count of +4 before the hand was dealt. The dealer flipped a 4 and drew a ten for nineteen.

$60 = $0.00

That was irritating, but not terribly unusual.

One thing that really bothers me to watch is when a non-playing buddy of a player brays like a donkey when someone else at the table has bad luck, then loses. For example, a guy doubles on his 11 versus my 6, he gets an ace, then I draw to 17 or 18 and the guy loses, and jackass pal is roaring with laughter. I'm not really even sure why that's hilarious, but I'm pretty sure one of these days I'm going to get to watch that guy have his mouth shut for him.

That's right up there with the fools who laugh their ass off after sevening out. WTF is so funny about that???

Back when I thought dice control was real, I would only bet on myself. I shot seven times during a session once and the first six were terrible. Finally, on the seventh I had a great roll, but all I really did was win my money back, maybe 20 bucks ahead. Yeah, back to even, so what, had I had that great roll to START I woulda been up 300, nearly doubling my money.
