Quasi-Strippers

| dk Member since: Nov 2, 2009 Threads: 19 Posts: 138 | On a recent trip to Vegas (Oct 09) I was staying at NYNY and wandered in here looking for $5 min tables. I ended up playing craps. Nearby there was a stage, just like at a strip club with a pole and everything. But of course, the dancers weren't stripping because it was in the middle of the casino. But still it made for a fun environment. The ratio of people to cake is too big. |

There is also: The "Party Pit" At Excalibur ![]() The "Pleasure Pit" at Planet Hollywood ![]() The "Pussy Cat Doll Pit" at Caesar's Palace ![]() The "X Pit" at the Flamingo ![]() I've also seen dancers on stages around slots at Rio (they also have the Show in the Sky and the Voodoo Lounge): ![]() I'm sure I'm missing some.. when I have some more spare time maybe I'll start a thread about dancers and waitresses to catalog what's out there for educational purposes. Am I missing any? So I says to him, I said "Get your own monkey!" |

That trip was not long after they started dancing. A dealer told me there was a MAJOR shakeup as the wait people that couldn't dance or didn't have the 'look' were encouraged to find employment elsewhere. The Rio, at the time (maybe still) have a nightclub, I believe called 'Bikini' at one end of the casino floor. When it's open, there is a BJ pit outside it's door with smokin hot dealers in bikinis. The hot view cost ya. $25 minimum paying 6:5! Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown.
But how much does it cost to knock on wood? |

The minimums I think are a bit higher, but that is forgivable. If anyone knows of any others, I'm all ears. Also, outstanding photography work, MrPapagiorgio! Thank you. | pacomartin Member since: Jan 14, 2010 Threads: 508 Posts: 5164 | I read once that Rio had a game with no payout at all for blackjack, and they restricted doubling to 10's and 11's. People played it because the dealers were wearing bikinis poolside. I went to Hooters once and the tables with regular odds had girls dressed in long sleeve flannel underwear, whereas the high house edge games had the regular hooters girls. --- At least there is some kind of logic to this strategy. The player understands that he gets to look at pretty girls, and it will cost him a percentage point on his game. People pay a lot more than that to look at pretty girls. At least the casino is being up-front. --- But perhaps we are getting closer and closer to combining casinos and strip joints. I know that the Rio was hiring strippers to hang out at their topless pools, but they terminated the operation because of some prostitution going on at the pool. It's not particularly logical, because prostitutes work the regular pools, but Harrah's didn't want to take chances. Wine loved I deeply, dice dearly -Edgar, betrayed son of Gloucester in King Lear |
