The rooms are new with big flat screen TV's but I thought they were too expensive considering you are off the beat and track.

I tried to get upgraded to a deluxe room and even though they were at only 38% occupancy they declined my request.

I could go through a host, but they I'd be obligated to play there and I didn't want to be stuck playing there exclusively for an upgrade or even a comped room.

Any one else been comped there yet, or at least upgraded?

I stayed twice. Once I was in a corner room with floor to ceiling glass in two outside walls. I was really impressed. I tried to get that again on my last stay but I did not manage it and I see that the rooms are nice but average then as others had said. Seniors can bargain the rates down by ten dollars a night. That makes may nights just thirty dollars, no resort fee. They send me offers of one free night and last trip I did just that one night and then went over to Sam's. I like the poker room. A great brush named Brian, perhaps the friendliest poker guy I have found and very good at managing this little room. I like the drive in Bank of America right across the street. It is walk in for me and was a way to bet cash without cashing my Traverler's checks, the last of their kind at my credit union. The buffet was just adequate, but good as a freebie with four hours of poker play. Great cookies. Every simple buffet always seems to have one thing no one else has. Here were cookies, including those moon? cookies frosted half in white and half in black.
