"Straub even said he’d pick up the tab for customers with room reservations to stay at another resort." How the heck do people have reservations ? Is there some secret hotline I don't know about ?
Assume the worst, believe no one, and make your move only when you are certain that you are unbeatable or have, at worst, exceptionally good odds in your favor.

The whole thing is just beyond weird, I mean words can't describe how insane this is- no website no phone number no job fair no info no signs and dragging feet during busiest time of the year
