proper play for multiplier hands?

i was playing SUPER TIMES PAY POKER and got like a x8.
i think the proper play was to hold KxQx not suited.
but you cant make any high paying hands with KQo.
other then runner^3 quads.
would it be better to pick the king or queen.
or throw all 5 cards away and get 5 random hands at x8.
ive always heard that the multiplier doesnt effect proper strategy.
