I agree with you, I only play a fraction of what you do and I've seen a bunch of stuff, as well. I've gotten a Royal on a complete throwaway on UX vulturing and I basically only play UX if I am vulturing,..mostly. The only exception is if I vulture a machine and I am close on how many points I need for a day (within five points, or $25 coin-in) then I will just finish on UX. Another exception is if I find X's on three-play or five-play nickels, then I just tend to max bet on that until I end up with zero multipliers for the following hand. Any higher denom is a straight vulture.
Anyway, I've been dealt quads eight times this year and there's no way I have 33k+ hands in on UX or anything near that. I'm WAY over expectation. I don't know where I am in relation to expectation all games considered because 95%+ of my VP comes on 98.91% Deuces Wild...so obviously, I don't even pay any attention whatsoever to dealt quads unless they are deuces. I probably don't even notice them.
It basically just comes down to stuff happens. Sometimes, it happens the other way, and a select few AP's (and many non-AP's) will read more into it than what's actually there.

I think the most I can handle is $10/spin. The multiplay is more promising. I play deuces mainly as I like the variance and the strategy is simple to remember. DDB I like as well, but Triple Double is too much. I don't mind $3.75 triple or $6.25 five line but I have to have a bankroll.

The swings at quarter UX triple play are enough to give you gut rot. But I also can't really go back to anything else.. it's all boring compared to UX.

No matter how swingy they make a game, some gamblers are always gonna play it... I'm awaiting a time when I see a video poker paytable that pays some ungodly 10,000credits or something for 4 of a kind or better and pays nothing for full houses and below.
And I guarantee you'll have people wanting to play that, too. Gamblers gon gamble!

Most everyone I know that plays is dreaming of flopped Full House and Flopped Royal next hand!
I don't know all the variance numbers but I'm pretty sure its around 600... I used to mess around with this game when it first came out that was full pay but no strategy was invented yet. The game was Super Times Pay MultiStrike and that game was something like 330 variance. They fixed it though... I don't know why the Casino would get scared about that game... only two or three people were playing it on point days and knew what they were doing. I guess it doesn't matter cause the ploppies still play it on the cut version now.

Somone I klnow was hesitant to play a 5 play $1 with a 3 x multiplier the other day. I don't care how high the denomination on UX is, or how low the +EV is( I'm talking higher denominations, not lower, I'll skip a penny or .5 ) I would play a higher denomination and not care what happened.
$100 denomination(never seen it) with a 2 times multiplier, bring it on. If I blank it, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

^^^^^^^^^^ Yeah I do not get how people can claim to be AP/volutures and then when they come across the better situations (higher denominations) they get scared to suddenly bet like $25 or $50... I agree, 10 play $25 denom with a single 2x, let's role.

No I don't know the strategy. All I would be doing is doing riskier takes with the multiplier. UX for me is a difficult game to think about because I have to factor in the multipliers I could be getting on the next hand. This makes it more likely to go for a SF or F (at 12x and 5x) for DW than a straight (3x) or keep a pair (2x, possible 7x if 4k hits). And the existing multiplier matters too. It's very complicated.
Certainly if you hold 2 to a Royal with a 12x multiplier you're keeping any two cards to the Royal, for example.

Classic Pro Move... Sometimes when I lock a machine and move directly to the next machine and start hammering I think this probably doesn't look good. On the other hand I hope that it looks like I am just some mad man gambler which is somewhat true as well! This is one reason I like to play other games in the house and not only one version. Usually I can find many different games offering the same return.

The jackpots come so quick at that denom so it's not uncommon to have 3-4 locked up at a time.
Usually don't even pay attention just move when it locks up usually when I slide a char over or stand up is when I notice and take a pic if it's anything. Usually it's just 12-2000 on that game

The worst part is when you lose double the hand pay before they hand pay you! Goes the other direction as well but not as often for me.

Still waiting on a quad at $1 or better...I've played my fair share of those I feel like...lol
Hell looking back on records...I haven't even hit a quarter quad on a non-wild game in over a year! I might only look bi-monthly though...

I am, pretty much thanks to a 2k dealt non-premium quad on three-play DDB with a single 2x multiplier. Only reason I know I'm ahead on those for life is because I haven't had 2k worth in plays at $2.

Actually I heard this guy has been hammering the 25 dollar game at a certain Casino. I heard he was running hot at first with babies and aces and after that the bottom fell out for weeks but recently I was told he hit back to back 100k Royals but I can't confirm nor deny that information. Sometimes these people telling these stories get things mixed up or don't know the real story. I myself lost about 40k in a few hours playing 25 dollar denom in a few short sessions. Not fun nor easy when you don't make any 4 OaKs or Aces or Babies.
I have to admit though I have been on a side mission to hit a 100k Jackpot. I just want them bastards to have to go get that cash and hand it to me lol ... it's a personal mission that I don't expect many people to understand.
I also admit that the BR is under par for these games but I have No Fear and I know what I am doing I think.
I am sure mamat will be along soon showing us the proper bankroll amount to play 25 dollar 8/5 bonus which I welcome.

While I was there I wanted to put a little play on and I chose this game for certain reasons. When I play bigger or smaller I usually have specific reasons.
I guess it isn't technically a Jackpot since it only paid 500 dollars but I wasn't mad about it.

Try small, not capitol, img in your image code.
Hmmm. Doesn't seem to work either.
