- Customers and Employees Sample the latest Industry Innovations -

May 2012

Leading casino brand, Grosvenor Casinos, is holding an exclusive Table Gaming Showcase, for selected customers and employees, at Grosvenor G Casino Coventry on Thursday 10th May.

I (Mr Casino Games) will be showing 7 New Table Games, Will Post how I get on here.

In its second year, after a successful debut in 2011, The Table Gaming Show will exhibit the very latest in table games to hit the industry. From 8.00pm to midnight, Grosvenor G Casino Coventry will showcase the most state-of-the-art games, including roulette and poker based games, from big name suppliers such as ShuffleMaster, TSC John Huxley, Customised Casino Games Ltd, Mr Casino Games, Galaxy Games and ICS-Europe.

The exclusive evening will be open to 100 employees and customers demonstrating Grosvenor Casinos’ continued leadership at the forefront of the gaming industry. Guests will be invited to experience and trial the games, offering feedback to determine the most popular of the new concepts. Those that receive a positive response have the potential to make it to the gaming floor across the 36-strong Grosvenor Casinos estate.

Kevin Grahame, Head of Table Gaming at Grosvenor Casinos comments: “After such enthusiastic feedback from our customers and employees last year, we're delighted to be bringing back the hugely successful Table Gaming Show in 2012.

“We pride ourselves on listening to the feedback and needs of our customers, and the show is testament to that. It is the perfect opportunity for us to continue to develop our casino offering directly in line with the needs and demands of our customers who are our most important stakeholders.

“We build strong relationships with new suppliers and are pleased that so many are unveiling their latest innovations at this event, helping to make Grosvenor Casinos the number one for advanced gaming whilst bolstering our product portfolio.”

Gee Stephen, wish you had posted this earlier. I have prior commitments now and the Concord no longer is available.

As a Grosvenor employee (and one who nearly talked my way into getting to go to the Showcase) I'm pretty sure its an annual event. I will post more details if/ when I hear about them.

Went very well, better than I thought. I've just got back and I actually tweaked my game during the night - it was very useful seeing it being played in casino-style settings.

The results of the feedback should be available next week so that will decide on the initial possible placements of a few of the games that were well received by players.

Advance notice - the next one has been penciled in for September 13th.

Hopefully you will post about the difference between that showcase and Shufflemasters. An unbiased judge's view, so to speak !

Buzz, the format is different for both events.

I haven't been to a SHFL Focus Group yet but the Grosvenor Showcase consists of around 20 various games and you are given a table and dealer for a 4-hour period.

Grosvenor's invited guests (around 100 of them) can choose which games to play and for how long they wish to play the game. Anyone who plays the game is asked to fill out a feedback card which includes ratings for various aspects of the game along with an overall comment, or suggestion, if applicable.

You tend to get a sense on how well your game is performing just by listening to the players as they play your game. Also, if players stay a while on the game then that is obviously a good sign too.

I had enough time last night to hear feedback, watch player participation and tweak my game, within the 4-hour period.

...another one later in the year...?

Just wondering as I popped in last week and they thought it was only an annual thing (but they were busy with a big poker comp!). btw if you do know the date (next year May?) could you kindly either let me know or update this thread as I've played your games and it'll be good to meet you in person. (fwiw they still had the freebet table and seemingly allowed splits of 4s but not 10s, and a few trial tables not in use out the back e.g. Qilin, dice).

Next one is scheduled for October 17th ... it's a little too soon after G2E and I'm likely to still be in Vegas.

Coventry have kept Free Bet as one of their regular games - they are correct in allowing 4's to be free-split but not 10-value cards.

PM me when you are next planning to go as I'm aiming to head there sometime next month before I go to Vegas.

Yes, it was a successful night with a good attendance. The companies included myself, Mr.CasinoGames. Shuffle Master and Galaxy Gaming. MathExtemist's "Twist'Em" game was also showcased along with a couple of other independent inventors.

The results of the event should be sent out next week - I'm expecting a good report for 'Free Bet' along with the '22' side-bet as it received a good reception at the show.
