if you win twice in a row on the same #, you get a 10x bonus on your bet on the 2nd win.

($5 x 35) + (5 x 10) = $225

whats the EV if playing 1hr?

edit:
assume single 0

Are you obliged to let your original win stay on the number? Presumably you cannot increase it for the next roll and get those terms?
And, of course, how many zeros?

Assuming it's a double-zero table, it changes the house edge from 5.26% to 4.57%.

Of course, that's also assuming that they don't allow you to increase a winning bet. I.E. If you bet on 17, and 17 hits you're paid 35 and the original bet gets put aside to be paid 45 if it hits again, but new bets are paid 35 if it hits.

If they allow you to increase your bet, there is a 18.4% player advantage on the additional bet!

I got some callouses on my fingers doing it, but I figured out that this is 0.73 percent lesser house edge, so its still a negative expectation for the player. Now there is no such thing anymore as five dollar roulette but I use that sum mentally 'cause it soothes my fingers and I think that a person could play for hours and not reap much of a reward.

Now of course that eighteen percent is stunningly interesting but it ain't gonna be that way. Not for long at least. Any Table Games Manager reading this forum (and I'm sure they ALL do) and seeing that statement in bold type is gonna make a bee line for that game.

Now is that 'repeating number' a good deal otherwise. Sure... psychologically players like to think they were lucky but their timing was off. So if something does hit for them now they think they are 'on a roll'.... and it will hit again. And it will hit at a point seven three better disadvantage.
