Hello!

Using basic strategy i played for a while for fun on William Hill and here my results:



But sometimes



Playing with bet for 1$. BlackJack surrender, Playtech

As you can see sometimes chart falls, sometimes rises. Maybe somebody know when i should enter the game and when i should leave?

As i understand, chart can go absolutely randomly as i have almost the same chances as a dealer?

definitely only play when the chart is going to go up LOL.

seriously, it can play on your mind to think that a chart of the past means anything. It is even worse when the chart shows longterm trends.

BJ is a game where the past can matter, but only if you count cards. Charts like this won't show this.

Thanks for your answer. I know that charts can't show the future when not counting cards. These charts i posted to show that playing blackjack online with basic strategy it's like on teeter-totter :) And maybe some online players can advice me something to make profit even on these waves. Maybe some secret betting strategy :)

although sometimes you hear that the variance is high with BJ, the opposite is true if you flat bet ... apparent variance comes from changing the size of your bets IMO. The standard deviation of BJ is a little over one, which is low.

So that means that some chart will usually show a wobbly progress down, occasionally up, flatbetting

If you stick around this site, you will generally hear that betting strategies are all worthless. I subscribe to that.

So you mean i should use a flat bet(for example $1) all the time and wait to "catch a wave", for example wait for +$10 and stop the game?

You shouldn't play at all unless you have an advantage. You can't get an advantage catching waves.

AxelWolf, Thanks for your answer. But as i know i will have advantage only if i counting cards, but i'm playing online casino(not live). How can i have an advantage?

You can't. To win money, you can only get lucky to do it. The more you play, the less likely you are to prevail by luck. You noticed yourself that your charts tend to show a player slowly losing money. That's because BJ has low house edge but also low variance.

Don't you know that casinos only offer these games because they expect to win? That is no different than your friends who might offer a wager. They will come up with bets they expect to win. It's the nature of gambling. Wise up or be a patsy.
