Craps- BUY (not place) 6/8 or put $ on another #?

In e-Craps (touchscreen everything but the dice are real) in NYC, you can only Place a max of $200 for each #. But you can still BUY the # when you max out the Place.
I was on a long streak, and the 6 was hitting like crazy. i kept Placing $ on the 6 till i maxxed at $198. I then went to BUY the 6 for $50. it hit and i pressed to $100. then the 7 hit. (so $30 6, $150 odds, $198 place, and $100 Buy) :o
20/20 hindsight i was thinking instead of $100 Buy for the 6, i would have a lower house edge placing that $100 on the 8, or even Buying the 4/10.
What would you have done? follow the streak on the 6 and pay the extra house edge to Buy it, or put that $ on a lower house edge bet?

No matter what the house edge is, you do better when you put your money on the numbers that pay off.

Please give me more details about this e-craps. Who throws the dice? Is this real craps or automated like a slot machine?
I am visiting NY and the "Casino" is only 15 minutes away, thinking about checking it out.

only organic craps is in nyc.
Shoot to Win is in Vegas.
I prefer Organic craps because of it MUCH higher table limit. (in Vegas, max total $ #s is $500 vs $3000 in NYC.)
it sucks when you're on a hot roll, and you cant press. Done that a couple of times in Vegas e-Craps. :(
downside of orgainic craps:
you cant turn #'s on/off individually. you can only turn them ALL on/off.
it sucks. i want to turn on 6/8 on passline rolls. if a 7 hits, i'm ok with a 1.5% Place bet to put $ back on it.
i'm not ok with a 2% Buy bet on the 5/9 if it goes down.

I'm heading to Bethlehem Sands tonight for some craps but I'll try to stop at Aqueduct on my way back to check out organic craps. Their website says they close at 4am???
