Good morning,

After reading many posts I decided to create an account as I'm an avid craps player. Frankly I don't know why anyone plays anything else! I make on average a trip to Vegas a month and will play approximately 20+ hours over the weekend.

I typically will play the 3 pt. molly. But recently I've been playing the DP and then the come bet. I feel that this gives me a little more shelf life at the table because the potential for hedging is there. I also like this because there are times when it's optimal for a 7 to be rolled. IE right after a come bet is hit and i'm back in the come with 5$. I've heard all hedge bets are bad bets, but if i'm understanding correctly the DP and come are some of the best bets you can make in the game.

I'm very disciplined at the table and recently I've begun to play a game with myself that isn't about winning as much as it is lasting on my initial investment which ranges from 100-200 dollars. Some may see this as a negative thought, but typically I will stop if I'm up 100 and take a break before I head back.

Any thoughts on the DP/Come?

Again - glad to be here and look forward to reading your posts and responses in the future.

I love craps myself, although it's a negative expectation game. AP's would rather choose poker, VP, or BJ card counting since one can actually make money in the long run at those games.

Anyway, the Don't Pass and Come are good bets because of their (relatively) low house advantage. Since you like having both bets in action at the same time, you will avoid some of the swings that you'd get if you stuck to one side or the other, and that allows you to preserve your bankroll longer. It all comes down to personal preference though and whatever way you're comfortable playing.

Happy shooting!

I like to that too...
I have a Dont Pass bet because I think that is best for "the ultimate result...bet on the 7".
I have interim Come Bets on the theory that there may be a few numbers and a few repeated numbers prior to that dreaded but ultimately expected Seven Out.

Ofcourse ... it can turn out that the interim numbers knock down my Don't bets and then the shooter even makes his point.

There just doesn't seem to be a way to avoid risk.

Well when you look at hedging or any bet system which is designed to
protect you , you have to understand that every bet carries a house advantage
and the more bets you make regardless of what they are, the more you lose.

a DP allows the casino to take 1.36% of that bet, 2 comes then take an additional
1.41% of each bet. the more you bet, the more you lose.

Tons of people make a pass line bet on the come out, which carries some advantage
with the 7 & 11 on the come out roll, but they they also make a any craps bet which
gives the casino 11.11 per cent of that bet turning the math back in the house
favor.

There is no way to bet your way to profit at craps, there is only one way, and you cant
mention that on here. so i wont.

Dicesetter.
