Still at luxor. 2c max bet I think. I won about 27 lambos in my Lamborghini account.
They asked me how well I understood theoretical physics. I said I had a theoretical degree in physics. They said welcome aboard.

So you're saying the Miata is a choice...?

Some of us are born to drive miatas, and some of us will eventually end up driving one later in life. Its like being in the crips.

I love how the DVD has commentary from Chris Ferguson, Phil Hellmuth, Johnny Chan, and Chris Moneymaker. They all point out repeatedly how badly all the characters are playing.

I don't quite understand what you're saying? I have seen both films.

Babs can correct me if I'm wrong, but I read her post as "If you think 21 was bad in terms of accuracy, check out Rounders."

Just watched 21 for the the first time in its entirety (had seen bits of it)
Mildly amusing. Most stupid bit was the '209' robot requiring a 16K EPROM but a 8K EPROM nearly worked, but in conjunction with a very nice laptop and a two joystick remote control. And that robot was just a wonky tricycle. . . Which went on to win an award.

Sorry. was there some blackjack in there? Oh yeah. Codeword 'magazine' means count is 17. Well that would be pretty high as a true count: No wonder it was just before every hand being stupendously successful. . . What do you mean, just a rolling count? Hardly worth coming to the table for.

>$300K left in the college bedroom ceiling, while the hero nips off to Vegas every weekend? Stolen? Never saw that coming $:o)

And did the Riviera really get value for money for their product placement as the gaff that back-roomed and beat the crap out of the hero? I guess that just encouraging a few Z******s to invest their futures in the pursuit of the card counting dream would actually be worth the bad publicity.

Biggest disappointment was not seeing Kate Bosworth's t1t5 in the love scene. Still, a quick google search of 'Kate Bosworth ******' Turned up the goodies and more. Could have saved 90 minutes of my life if I'd gone straight to google $:o)

Anyways, it had an upside. Inspired me to pop £46 into my online account and play it up to £150 before cashing out.

lol someone else finally commented on the 209 robot =).

Their code words and count I don't think were too bad. It was the running count I believe, and +17 with 3 decks left sounds more than juicy enough to call in a BP (TC +5.67).

Although it's been said, I agree, how do you not show us "nerdy" counters that we can get the hot girl. A veil make out scene cut short left many in wonder and asking for more.

I think the BIGGEST inaccuracy of the movie is clearly the "facial recognition software." Is that why they ONLY seemed to play at the place where they knew they'd get heat? Apparently all the other casinos no longer had human counting surveillance... So let's PRETEND the other casinos did have the facial software (which they didn't) then why not just wear your disguises in there? His giant mustache covered half his face, throw those sunglasses on and how the hell is that thing supposed to pick you up? Any real pros would have avoided the human detection and opted to trick/beat the machine by exploiting it's glitches.

Still, for all the inaccuracies of the movie, I still like it and watch it randomly from time to time =).
Playing it correctly means you've already won.
