on oct 6th i ask a question on the forum "you say blackjack i say goldking"

i didn't get any response. with this link you may see where I'm going.

if you know the value of the cards, (K=15, Q=14, B=13, C=12, J=11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, A=1, Joker=0 or 15) in a suit.

the shoe in the future will have (9 suits x 16 cards) x 3 decks = 432 cards.

and the goal is to reach 30 points. what value would you stay? knowing how many cards are in the shoe and what values they could be i.e. joker.

I'm thinking 24, but would really like to see the math behind it.

This game is like blackjack and spanish 21. the joker is basically my ace card.

would you: A six-card 30 pays 3:2, a seven-card 30 pays 2:1, and a 30 with eight or more cards pays 3:1. A 30 composed of 10-10-10 of mixed suits pays 3:2, of the same suit pays 2:1. These bonus payouts apply even if the hand was the result of a split. However, doubling down negates these bonuses.

trying to find some house odds before I present this: you've seen it here.

So true. Ménage à Trois is a game that 30 is the best hand and the dealer stays on 25, but the face cards are all 10.

Sadly if you're a game designer, this is the kind of work you have to do. Obviously using infinite deck analysis is quicker and gives a rough idea whether the game is a goer or not. As to pay tables, I've no idea, except casinos prefer not having halves, and certainly not smaller fractions.

That does not look like a very good game on a number of levels. Wow. It is countable, possibly offensive, and changes a familiar game without seeming to add much.

i thought of this game while I was in the wikipila rabbit hole. its one of those pages i wished ive saved. i cant even find it now.

it has a old spanish deck with 10 cards in a suit. with 4 suits for 40 cards.

the suits went K, Q, J, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, A. the wikipila page didn't explicitly state the K=10, Q=9, J=8. Can you find this page. its a treasure hunt. You could get credit for stating what the values are for the court cards. they did not. the only rule they stated was the A was either 1 or 11. the name of the game was twenty-one. this was when 40 card decks were possibly cheaper or more popular than 52 card decks. Now-a-days we can afford 64 cards. you heard it here.

What points would you get with K and a A, and what if you get a K and a Q. what is the total in points. Keep it Simple is the best way.

i think this deck may make it harder for card counting by adding a value to the face cards and introducing a joker that can be 0 or 15 points on a 30 point stretch goals.

seriously, I'm trying to think its 25 instead or 24 to stand. any help here: blackjack is like a modern adult game of WAR!.

check out this website. it's a very active website with modern custom cards.

How many different sets of "how many cards in the shoe and what values they could be" do you need to see? Even if we could calculate the values for every possible combination of what's left in the shoe, there are 2815-1, or about 5,100,000,000,000,000,000,000 different combinations, and this is not including the jokers (there can be 0-27 Aces, 0-27 2s, and so on for each of the 15 ranks, but subtract the one combination of zero cards of all suits). Most basic strategy calculations that I am aware of are limited to full shoes.

Also, you don't say how many jokers are in each deck, and, more importantly, you don't say what the house's rules for hitting and standing are.

Don - the shoe is (9 suits) X 16 cards for 144 in a deck. 3 decks for 432 in a shoe. notice: 3 suits in a shoe.

buzzard - you inspired me lets doom this game and i heard casinos hate fractions. lets make the joker 0, 7 and a half, 15 points.

I'm leaning toward 26 to stand now. I'm thinking the game is mostly going to have spanish 21 rules.

Spanish 10.5 rules would be twice as much fun.

Can't see why the number of suits is so relevant. The game changes just marginally if there are 9 suits at 3 decks or 4 suts at 7 decks..

Mango - i only want 3 of the same card in a shoe. like there would only be 3 tens with hearts in the entire shoe. 10-10-10 of same suit= 30 points. super Tower bonus.

in spanish 21:

A five-card 21 pays 3:2, a six-card 21 pays 2:1, and a 21 with seven or more cards pays 3:1. A 21 composed of 6-7-8 or 7-7-7 of mixed suits pays 3:2, of the same suit pays 2:1, and of spades pays 3:1. These bonus payouts apply even if the hand was the result of a split. However, doubling down negates these bonuses.

A "super bonus" of $1000 for bets under $25, and $5000 for bets of $25 and over, is paid on a suited 7-7-7 against any dealer 7. All other players at the table receive a $50 "envy bonus". Splitting or doubling down negates the "super bonus".

in this game Gold King a 30 composed of 10-10-10 of mixed suits pays probably more than 3:2, of the same suit pays probably a lot more than 2:1

the rest of spanish 21 rules seem like a lot of hoop-la; however i do like the "Match the Dealer" side bet

it seems casino games love side bets this would be the first one. i'm still researching side bets. what would work here?

ever noticed the Bicycle 808 series's jack of diamonds has what looks like feathers on his vest.

anyone know where get a simple solitaire program and modify it. same rules, but would start with Joker, A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, T, J, C, B, Q, K
