I enjoyed the show for awhile. I finally gave up when Lara Flynn Boyles' character, Monica, died after being blown off a roof and half way up the strip.

I know she doesn't have much meat on her bones, but Come On!

Remember what they did with her ashes?

She gets my top vote too!

That srt of did make the jump from "suspend disbelief" to "COME ON?!"

I think at that point the writers were out of ideas. A shame as there would be so many plotlines you could have with a casino-based show. I guess 2000s America has the attention span for nothing.

The first 3 seasons were the best, James Caan left after the 4th, which had gotten to the point it wasn't about the casino anymore, but a soap opera of the cast.

Same thing happened to "LA Law" and "Moonlighting" tpo name two. TV writers will never learn.

The 3rd season had a lot of comedy in it, after that it went down hill. There just isn't enough interesting stuff in a casino to keep coming up with fresh stuff. Real casinos have to be some of the most boring places on the planet. Without alcohol, they would be very hard to endure. Your average dealer looks like he died of boredom last week and nobody has noticed yet.
