Several years ago the Rampart casino by my house ran a 2-1 BJ promotion during Monday Night Football. $50 max bet, and I think you could play two hands. They cancelled it mid-game while I was sitting there, I think the 3rd or 4th week.
Well, they may have noticed your play in particular or it may have others as well who played it and some guy in green eyeshades (okay, some computer) printed out a notice. I doubt it was an alert pit boss.

It would seem cancelling a promotion mid-game meant they were losing money at it.

I'm traveling through Greenville soon...... is it the kind of town that one can see in a day or is it worth staying overnight?
I've only been to Greenville once, stopping by between visits to Tunica and Vicksburg, and I spent well under a day there. I think there is someone else on this forum who is from that area and posted some useful info, but I can't remember who it is.

I remember only three casinos, and one of them was a slots-only establishment. I played craps at Bayou Caddy's Jubilee and Harlow's. Sorry -- didn't play any blackjack, so I can't comment on the games there.

I didn't see anything that would make me want to spend the night. (Apologies to the locals.) If you are interested in plantation history, or even the history of floods, then maybe you would have more interest than I did.

I have a couple of friends who formerly lived in Greenville, and they are very much opposed to the casino industry there. They feel it did great harm to the local economy and population. I did not understand that perspective until I visited. My impression during that one brief visit was that the Greenville casinos are not designed to bring tourists or funds into the area but are set up to extract as much as possible from the locals to the owners. My friends say that Greenville is a prime example of areas where welfare and subsistence funds are gambled away to the detriment of children. Not at all like a resort casino where outsiders are getting their entertainment and bringing in money that pays for local jobs.

Locals casino? Who was it who said "All politics is local"?

Spend welfare checks? Alot will be spent on alcohol and gambling whether there is a casino available or not. Lottery sales are highest in poor areas. More alcohol is sold in poor areas than in wealthy areas.

Table and Poker Games - 13 total

Blackjack, 12 tables
Caribbean Stud Poker, 2 tables
Craps, 4 tables
Roulette, 1 table

Total of 19 tables before adding in Poker? Is the total actually 23?
