I've actually seen this and got to play with one late one Tuesday night (like 3 AM Wednesday morning) . Those cats are the most loving wild animals you'd ever see. They know where they get their food and they like the scratches. As long as you're not aggressive to them, they eat up the attention (and food from the cops).

Last September I was at a work seminar for 2 days, staying for 3 comped nights at Showboat. One night headed down to Ballys and Caesars for some craps play.
As usual time got away from me and found myself on the boardwalk after a successful craps run at Caesars around 12.30am. Looked around, and I might add I am not a guy who worries about shadows and such, but, a few unsavory characters, extremely dark boardwalk and thought, "Were the heck is the Taxi stand"? I might add, the tip was more than the fare. The funny thing is 10 years ago ( i'm now 55 ) I would have had not premanitions about hiking down a dark, lonely AC boarwalk. Funny how times change.....
