Don't forget, tonight is the first show with the
Wiz as co-host of Gambling With an Edge. 10pm
EST or 7pm west coast time, go to Bob Dancer's
page and listen in. We should have a seperate
thread where we can critique the show every
week and make suggestions. I have one already:

One thing I don't like about the current show is
Munchkin is not in the studio, he's on the phone.
Its terrible, he sounds tinny and far away and
talking on a 50's dial phone. At least the Wiz will
be in the studio, I'm assuming. That will be a big
plus right there.
While the sound quality of the phone-in people has been questionable at best, the volume is a bigger problem. Nobody has the same volume levels. And the overall volume isn't loud enough.

I've listened to other podcasts that had volume problems, and wrote it off as being a problem because they were ameteur podcast productions.

This is a REAL radio show! You'd figure they'd have the volume problem worked out!

Whatever. I'll be downloading when available, and hopefully listening without straining to listen.

I have trouble hearing Dancer at times,
he has a tendency to mumble. I think
he's aware of it, you can hear him really
trying to speak clearly, especially at the
start of the show. This is why the big
raido pro's like Hannity or Rush or Larry
King have those deep voices, they're easily
understood on the radio.

On the archive list now.

Michael is darn good on the radio and brought in a great guest and the show was very interesting. For some reason the sound was much better this show, do anything different?

(Always good to have some praise after the criticism on the video [g])

PPS: the tune you are searching for: I'm fairly sure it was heard on the Benny Hill Show of years ago. I suspect it was already out there from something else, though.

We already have a winner to the contest. The song it titled Mah Na Mah Na. It is originally attributed to an obscure Sweedish porno movie. However, it later gained fame on the Benny Hill Show, Sesame Street, and the Muppet Show. Since I watched all three of those shows, at different stages in life, I don't know where I picked it up from. Probably Benny Hill.

The producer of the show said "Benny Hill" after the show, but I incorrectly corrected him, thinking of Yakety Sax. Evidently Mah Na Mah Na was played on that show as well. Can our UK members comment?

I recognized it as a song played as background
music for video being showed, but I couldn't
place the show. I thought maybe Laugh In, they
showed a lot of video just like Benny Hill did.

Um, I was actually looking for the podcast, rather than the MP3 file.

There are a variety of advantages to a podcast rather than an MP3.

Among other things, the iPhone music player does additional things when it's playing a podcast rather than an MP3, such as a 30 second rewind button, and a 2X and 1/2X speed option.
