I haven't seen it there, but I saw the full demo at G2E. It was pretty interesting. Really wild odds on a few things; think there was a 1200:1 or 2000:1 bet up near the dealer for both balls landing in the same slot.
The button to launch the balls was portable; they can hand it to anybody, a player or whoever, to start the balls, which are staggered by about .5 seconds. The sound effect is customizable; they have it sounding like a hydraulic compression release, but it can say anything; has nothing to do with the mechanical release of energy.
The paytables are very dense, and the pays for some two-ball combinations are lower than I would have thought, but I can't quote them 3 weeks later. I'm sure you've looked at them in detail. I thought it was a fun variation on the game, and I hope they see some success.

There are seven possible bets, using a range of totals, offering odds from 400-1 thru 1-1 (e.g. 71-72 = 400-1); it wasn't live but I guess the electronic screen works out the total. My concern, from a quick calculation, was how high the house edge was - for instance you can do your own [based on two spins of a normal wheel] 71-72 bet (exercise for the reader!) and get 431-1.
I think there's room for multiple spin bets (on an electronic machine) and an interesting idea to try and generate another random number (in the UK there are legal reasons why it has to be based on the physical ball rather than RNG) in an attempt to have larger odds. I didn't see Lucky Symbols at the Empire any-more and suspect the rent paid to have the electronics might prove too much for this bet as well.
I was also getting figures over 10% for the new bets, which is why it probably won't last long. However you can never tell as the ur egalite bets are sometimes that much and proving popular. http://www.ukcasinotablegames.info/puntourwayegalite.htmlQuote: WizardI saw that when we were in London last year. Here is my analysis.

I saw it at the Trop in 2014. I don't remember if people were playing it, and I haven't been back, so I don't know if it's still there.
Quote: charliepatrickI was travelling last week and saw a new bet in two casinos coming soon. It's based on the sum of two roulette spins and rather than using a double-wheel (or two spins) adopt a system of generating one of the random numbers (0-36) based on the speed of the ball.
A random number, based on the speed of the ball? That seems somewhat contradictory...
Quote: mcallister3200Saw this game at downtown grand, no one playing. Given DTG's track record for table games management so far and how frequently they've changed things, they'll probably give it about two weeks before jumping to a conclusion.
Downtown Grand seems to be a bit of an AGS house as they are one of the few that also has War BJ. If there is a relationship there, DT needs to add some of the better offerings from AGS like Open Stud Poker & 2 Card Poker. To me these have a much better chance of being winners vs. Double Ball & War BJ......but that is just one guy's opinion!

No doubt. Most casual players don't
understand half the bets on a regular
table, why make it even more complicated.
All the time I see people bet all 3 dozens
at once and are delighted when they win
every time. I ask the dealers why they
don't tell the player he's betting a push,
and they just shrug their shoulders.
