I don't believe a word of this. I'm a pretty darn good player and have been playing just about 7 years. I don't play a lot...maybe 150 hours a year and I've seen some pretty long cold streaks. I have 21 royals and feel that this amount is pretty solid. The simple math of achieving royals is a decent indicator of frequency, and if you say you "don't play as much as people think", there's virtually no way you will have hit as many royals as this post indicates.

Hit a live Royal tonight at Rio on the first hand I played after I sat down. Just happened about an hour ago. $1500...sweeeeeeet! Then the table broke. I went easy on the guy, my only other opponent in the hand. You can see how small the pot is.

I've hit as many as 87 in one year, but keep in mind, most were on triple-play and five-play machines.
