Harrah's now officially "Caesars Entertainment"

Probably doesn't mean too much in the grand scheme of things but it is interesting to note. I wonder if all the various Harrah's-branded casinos across the country will also be renamed? While most people that get mail or email from them probably already know most of the various brand names of all the casinos, there is still something to be said for name recognition, particularly in areas where there is only one casino. And besides, the title of this thread, Harrah's now officially "Caesars Entertainment", is wrong. The correct statement is: Harrah's Entertainment now officially "Caesars Entertainment" Only their corporate name has changed. Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown.
But how much does it cost to knock on wood? |

I noticed the change myself when I went to check up on the lame comps I was earning from my local Harrah's. Actually, I don't think the casino itself shows any signs of the corporate name change on the inside yet. |

If you try to go to www.harrahs.com, you do get redirected to www.caesars.com. If you then click the "Las Vegas" link at the top of the page, you go to lasvegas.caesars.com. However, if instead of clicking on the "Las Vegas" link, you click on the "Atlantic City" link, you wind up at www.totalrewards.com/destinations/atlantic-city. And these detours may be changing day by day; I don't know. Maybe they will get the web sites straightened out just in time for the debt load to sink the corporation. |

You are not supposed to. The story goes everyone visiting is a Caesar, hence the name. The myth is they forgot it on the sign or/and didn't take 4th grade english and know if it should have been "Caesar's" or "Caesars'." "The Roman Empire wasn't planned, but neither did it 'just happen.'" |

I plan to give it more time, until Caesars is the more commonly used name for the company. It's not whether you win or lose; it's whether or not you had a good bet. |

Common by who? The 'Responsible gambling' ads featuring the CEO have been re-shot and have been re-branded as Caesars.... Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown.
