7. Don't drink before your massage. (you'll hurl)
8. Don't see Cris Angel's Believe. (Res ipsa loquitur)
9. Don't arrive at the airport 30 minutes before you flight. (You risk missing it)

Depends on the situation and casino. It saves more time at some casinos than others. For example, the Bellagio has a great valet if you're approaching eastbound on Flamingo. Yet, the Wynn has a very nice and well located self-parking garage. To make a rule of thumb, I will valet if it will save me 10 minutes or more of time.

I won't give to panhandlers anywhere for that reason alone. You give them something and usually you don't get a "thank you," but instead, "I just need one more dollar for bus fare/lunch/whatever." Now, if I'm in a generous mood, I make them do something like answer a trivia question, sing, or push-ups.
I agree on the other three items, especially In-n-Out.

I use valet because its right by the front door, its cheap, and I never heard of anybody getting robbed waiting for the their valet car, while the parking garage robbery stories are never ending.

I use it for that very reason too. Especially in AC where's it's quite dangerous.

That famous lady poker player (I can't think of her name) has been robbed twice in parking garages and a poker lady friend of her's was killed in a garage robbery. No thanks. Sure there are cameras, but thats why god invented hoods, so they can't see who you are. Duh.

Good list. I got married at the Little Church of the West, which was fine, but can't compare it to any others. Agreed about Chris Angel. The lines are getting shorter at LAS, but I still allow an hour from the time I park to boarding time, just to be safe. Agreed it is worth the extra money to spring for a good buffet. The Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, and Mirage are on par with the Wynn, in my opinion. Maybe the Wynn is a bit better, but it tends to get very long lines.

There are some valets where the location makes it not worth it to use them; two that stand out in my mind are the Venetian and Planet Hollywood. The Venetian valet is already inside the parking structure, so by the time you get to the valet, you have walked 7/8 of the way back to self-parking anyway. And PH's valer is down inside that tunnel-like labyrinth, featuring the slowest valets in Nevada.
The Bellagio's valet is excellent, but I used to duck into a little auxiliary parking garage at that same point you mentioned--off of westbound Flamingo. From there, you could take the escalator almost directly up to the poker room (the only reason to set foot in Bellagio), and since hardly anyone seemed to know about that little garage, you could find a space even on a Friday night. Is that garage still available?
Palazzo has a fantastic garage that is easily accessible from the road that runs between the Venetian/Sands complex and the Wynn. Easily my favorite garage in Vegas. Convenient if all you need to do is go to Palazzo, and from there you can walk to Venetian.Quote: EvenBobThe Venetian does have the worst Valet on the planet. It makes no sense. Don't Jaywalk you could get killed. So many people just dart across the street when there is no crosswalk.
Don't try to hail a taxi while walking on the Strip. You see it all the time and they get pissed when the taxi driver says he can't.

Bank of America, Chase, and Citi are the 3 largest banks in the U.S. Between them, they have exactly one ATM between WynnCore and Mandalay Bay (BoA has one in the shops at Caesars). The max fee for a "foreign" ATM transaction using a debit card is about $10. It's not worth it to go elsewhere. What am I gonna do if I'm at Palazzo, walk 20 feet to a casino ATM and pay a 0.5% fee when I take out two grand, or walk to Caesars?
Alternatively, if you only need a little pocket money, you can usually get up to $50 "cash back" on a debit card purchase at a Walgreens, etc.

I agree the fees are way out of proportion to the cost, but it's a matter of convenience.
I would rather walk 15 minutes to my car in a garage than wait 10 minutes for a valet pick-up. I usually have my golf clubs in the trunk too and I am overly anxious about them when entrusting my car to a stranger.

Toilet seats tend to be one of the cleanest things you can find in the bathroom... the sink, towel dispenser, the floor and the taps are normally dirtier than a toilet seat.

yes, i think the floor right by the entrance to the mens restroom has got to be the dirtiest most germ laden area. at least they try to clean the restroom floor once in a while. but rarely the carpet right at the entrance.

No. You head west from the freeway and then turn right into the garage entrance BEFORE you get to Flamingo.

It is. I've valeted there lots of times. The best valet in Vegas, in my opinion.

Heck, be careful following blindly with the crowd crossing a street even in the crosswalk. Assuming that because a bunch of people start walking into the crosswalk someone checked for oncoming traffic is sometimes an incorrect assumption.

How did they know that he was drunk? Did they gather him up and do an autopsy?
-If you have to walk somewhere on the strip, do not take the Harrah's side, it is much less of a hassle crossing to the Caesar's Palace side.
-Don't let friendly girls you don't know very well at a craps table take some of your chips and put them in your pocket so you don't lose them all :-P
-Don't ever trust your cab driver, especially the long time locals. Don't let them take you to your hotel from the airport via the freeway and raise hell if they do.
-Don't take a cab to a strip club unless they agree to give you a free ride or at least part of their kickback.
