I am a Borgata regular, but decided to go to Golden Nugget to take advantage of their match any other casinos offer deal. First time I have been in the place in 20 years or so. The place seemed dark and kind of gloomy to me. Low ceilings and no atmosphere. Looking around it just didn't seem like anyone was having fun. Was very surprised they wouldn't let me play the match plays on Pai Gow poker. Left the place with no reason to go back, went right back to Borgata. It is no wonder to me that Borgata is by far the most popular casino in town.

Yes, I saw that. I guess I just expected more since I heard they pumped some money into the place. I am surprised they even do the business that they do with Harrahs and Borgata both in the neighborhood.

Fully agree with you. I think they need a good marketing team to move on. No reason to go back to them again. Not now.

personally I disagree however, If i was just a recreational player you would be right, heck, I would not play anywhere, but the Revel, Even tho they pulled a fast one, but I don't know who I blame for that one. Ill just blame Mission

for me Ilike a place more modern/retro/intresting, but when it comes down to it, the money is what counts (no pun intended) some of the not so nice places have the best opportunities. I would spend very little time in casinos if there were no +ev situations. I would just move out of Vegas and become a picker and go fishing or became an artist.

As someone who used to go to the GN a lot back when it was the Trump Dump...I think they did a great job with the renovations. It's hugely better than before the GN took over. Having said that. It does have really low ceilings and a depressing air about the place. They went way overboard with the dark colors and 70's retro look. Weirdly the GN also seems to have a ton of people milling around the casino floor watching others gamble. I've drawn a crowd playing $15 a spin red/black on roulette...they all seem to be waiting for a bus or something. All hours of the day and night. I've basically stopped going there.

New member here. Do you need to bring the physical mailer for the match casino offer? Like most of the offers from other casinos, I have them online. Thank you.

They told me they need something physical. As I didnt have a mailer, I stopped at Borgata, printed up my match plays, and brought them over to Golden Nugget.

Regarding GN.....it is a much better place in the nice weather. The DECK at the marina has some great bands. Each Thursday night they have B-Street , this is a great Springsteen tribute band. On Sunday afternoons the deck has great cover bands. The bar is packed. Food is served and there is dancing.

You may want to give it a chance then

As to the casino the craps crews are well experienced.
The pit is notorious for rating players below what they play. This leads to less offers

The hotel

The rooms have walls that are paper thing. The doors are also terrible. You will hear every sound.

Eating
Vic and Anthony very good
