Has anyone played the poker room there?
What about the blackjack...any good rules?
I see the baby money tables are terrible but what about the high roller room?
Most of the threads are about 3 years old, so I'd like to know what to expect if I visit there, should I waste my $ there or at diamond dolls?

They are raking money in hand over hand. New restaurants, better stars. Lots of free music.

Blackjack is still the same; Lots of very well marked 6:5 low minimum tables; lots of well-marked 3:2 with much higher minimums and NO MID SHOE ENTRY strictly enforced. Many players are sharp and fast.

Lots of Football special stuff recently and January Mondays are a grand given away every fifteen minutes to slot players just for having their card inserted. Don't know if it applies to electronic craps or not.

Remember to check out the non smoking alcove... strange mixture of table games there, you might find some weird rules or not.

Atlantic City? I'm surprised you're not in Vegas to bet on the Super Bowl!

The poker room is nice but crowded. They have custom smaller size tables as to fit more on the floor (it is multi level, but never been up top...) I like the 1-2 no limit game there. Decent high hand payouts, but there is a ton of tables so holding up is hard to do (i hit quad ks once and surprisingly didnt lose to a straight flush...).

On weekends you get a lot of drunk guys that think they are in rounders who go all in like every hand (which is sometimes great or just really frustrating as im sure you can imagine). But for the most part its not bad.

Even though its crowded you hardly notice because your just sitting the whole time anyway. Drink service isn't to bad, of course with the occasional slow waitress. Also they have some independent guy that serves food i think its like crapes or something. Very surprised they allow that but he has been around for a long time (i mainly see him there latter in the night, probably when most of the kitchens are closed...)

I havent played the 2-5 but 1-2 buy in is 100-300 so id imagine 2-5 is like 300 to 1-2000 (but honestly dont know)
.

Ok, so here's a mini trip review of Seminole.
The blackjack tables are clustered with varying rules and bet limits. There were shoes and CSMs.
So, the lower the min bet, the worse the rules are. No surrender anywhere.
The cluster of rules are related to the bet limits.
The side game is match the dealer.
I settled in for a table with less than perfect odds with a very low min bet. I felt lucky and battled for a few hours turning my crap buy in into 3 times what it was. Then, the bottom fell out as I lost 15 hands in a row. The process tilted me because I knew I should have quit after I crested $700 from $250. Instead, I took on the losing streak with gusto until nothing was left.
The table was CSM, 3:2BJ, dealer hits soft 17 (which is a mindf*** when it happened). The rules were suboptimal but irrelevant because I have never had to RSA anyway.
The casino itself feels older, slightly smokey. The bars and shops are still more than half the fun of being there.
The poker room is funny. You can tell it used to be a restaurant because of its high ceilings and layout. Whereas MDLive is rectangular, this is just a square. The tables had to be squeezed together. One more thing that I saw was they let you straddle from anywhere and then the action shifted to you. Weird.
The managers and dealers are friendly. I wasn't too impressed with the playing in the short time I played. The style was basically "sit and bully" wherein the table was dominated by 2-3 large stacks that constantly reraised pre-flop with no con-bets while 2-3 players were constantly short stacked and going balls to the wall all-in every rotation. Every now and then someone hit a hand and basically raised with a pot plus sized bet. I had my typical two hours of deadhands so I couldn't push back too hard. The table died once the big stacks left.
