What easy jobs are there that pay in that range? (i'll be willing to goto a 2yr community college to get the degree or certificate.)
Some telecommunications executives springboard their rapidly obsolescing knowledge and experience into technical oversight of state Information Processing Policy Groups that are do nothing entities that rubber stamp major contracts.
At the local level, local Public Utility Districts usually have do nothing jobs available.
If you have any pension finance background, a good many public employee groups are trying to not only take their pensions with them but to take out of the general pool some assets that will fund their pensions but leave later retirees to the remaining assets and the mercy of the bankruptcy judges.
Professional Independent Review Firms often need to hire signatories if you have any medical data quality review background and know how to nod your head all day long like a Chinese Judge.

The states rob citizen wealth. However, you could do like I did and get a Federal job for over twice that pay. Though, it may require a four year degree.
college grads and only 1 found a job. And thats because

rest are living at home and are sitting on huge student

I interact with folks about their job situations as part of my profession (employment attorney). Met a lot of people in all walks of life and have formed a couple opinions on this topic.
The biggest money for the least amount of education is probably medical sales, i.e. drug and medical equipment reps. Though today it likely takes a 4-yr. degree to walk into such a position.
To make $50K/yr. with a two-year degree or less is doable, but not overly common. The jobs I see most often where this kind of money is being made by folks who do not have 4-year degrees is in the entertainment/leisure industry. Waiters make this kind of money in higher-end establishments. You must work the weekend evenings to do this well, but that can leave quite a bit of leisure time during the rest of the week. Bartenders can as well. I met a waitress from a casino here in the Midwest recently who was pulling down $60K, much of it undeclared. Casino dealers can make this level of compensation also.
over 50K and sit on their asses all day. One of them works for Werner
and delivers to Walmart. He backs up to the loading dock, they unload
it, he goes and picks up another one. He's gone from the wife and kiddies
6 days a week, which he loves and his wife hates. The only downside
is all trucking companies do direct deposit and his wife spends the money
as fast as it comes in.
Stick with them and drive the big brown truck: $80K and up.

This more than likely isn’t an option, but just in case you do have any sort of musical training or ability, you could always be a musician on a cruise ship. 5 hours/day of scheduled work time at most, usually less. Some annoying things, like having to do emergency drills and safety meetings, but they last 1 hour a week at most and aren’t really that painful. (Although there are some cruise lines, like Carnival, who have recently started making their musicians greet guests as they come on the ship and answer questions—I don’t recommend looking for work with them.) The real downsides are having to make a long-term commitment to fulfill a contract—most cruise lines want 4 months at minimum, sometimes even more—and, of course, being away from home and family for so long.
The pay isn’t as high as you’re looking for—about $23-24K a year before taxes, assuming you do two 5-month contracts with a 2-month vacation in between. But because there’s no rent to pay and no food to buy, living expenses are much lower, basically limited to toiletries. (Alcohol and food purchased while on shore leave are also factors for most folks, though both are a matter of self-control. :-) It’s a great way to save up for the future and, of course, steady work, which isn’t always easy to come by for performers.
Quote:Roughly one out of 10 California prison guards was paid more than $100,000 last year, fueled largely by a jump in overtime.
Some 2,400 rank-and-file correctional officers' pay exceeded $100,000 in 2005, compared with 557 the year before, a San Diego Union-Tribune analysis of payroll figures shows.

Really easy jobs probably have some element of risk if they pay well. I mean, you probably take phone calls while being exposed to high radiation or something.

Why do you think being a prison guard is an easy job.
Its extremely stressful dealing with convicted criminals
every day who hate your guts. I rememeber G Gordon
Liddy, who did time in a federal prison, used to say on
his radio show prison guards are nuts. The prisoners
have to be there, the guards chose to be there of their
own free will. Why would any sane person do that to
themselves.
Quote: rxwineRunning daycare seems stressful to me. I'd rather watch dangerous prisoners.
Guards don't just watch prisoners, they have to interact
with them. It a really crappy job.

To each his own. rx's post is true, as far as the COs I know goes. They make a ton on overtime. Add into the fact they have doubles partners and they only work about 3 days a week. Me personally, I think I'd hate it (I went for it but was disqualified due to my colorblindness), but one of my good friends digs it good. 3 days of work, most of which he sleeps through, a healthy check and retired by 50 with state pension. Not a bad gig if you can stomach it.

I need to go work there then....
I met one guy who worked for a local company for a few years then went independent. Put a "bold" ad in the yellow pages, nothing else. He got lots of calls and so many referrals he almost needed to take on a partner the summer months. Heard of a gal who did "cluster fly sprays" Near Rochester, NY where they were bad. She worked 6 weeks a year, sprayed the outside of homes with a power spray unit. Worked 6 weeks a year, made $50K. 250 customers paying $200 gets you there. She was not good at mechanical things so she just bought a new spray unit every two years.
In bee season money can be great. Takes maybe an hour (plus the know how) to get rid of a nest. Upper middle class neighborhood the wife calls, bees by the pool or swing-set and "the kids are going to get stung." Wife calls hubby at his job, frantic, drives him nuts. Guy calls you, asks "can you be there quick?" You say, "I can do it this morning byt my minumum harge is $175-200." He wants her settled down so says, "anything, anyhting, just get out there!" Had it happen, many times. Offer a "pre-spray" in spring, do the McMansions for $400 and "you will come out for free for bees in summer" if they show up. If you show up to jobs on-time, clean, and sober you will get 200 customers in a few years, that is $80K!

Sure do. Why do you think the UK had their Ice Cream Wars... it was profitable!! And worth a few corpses here and there to keep a territory intact.Quote: RogerKintIce Cream Man (or woman). You'd be surprised how much they make.
Does anyone know if chick-sexing still pays over 115 grand your first year?
College frat boys used to go to Alaska for long line fishing boats but I think that went bust awhile ago. Not sure.

One of my best friend's brother did this back in the late nineties, it was not easy and they got paid way less than they were expecting because the pay is based on how much fish you actually catch. They "project" numbers way higher than average to suck you in, then you get screwed. It sounded like hell: cramped sleeping quarters, long hours, constantly cold and wet.
Anyway much may have changed since then, but from that one experience it definitely doesn't fit the title of this thread.
Quote: AZDuffmanThis one takes a little bit of training, but find a niche in pest control in residential homes. Offer annual treatments. You can do well.
