Klimate: I am, unfortunately, also a gambling addict. Gambling addicts never fully recover, we just continually recover. In order to control my gambling impulse, I have two rules when it comes to gambling: 1. I gamble on the cheap (meaning I only gamble if there is a "deal", cheap does not mean low roller, as my bankroll is 25k annually), and 2. I only go on gambling trips once a year, and I have to drive there no matter where it is (flying would be too easy). I have followed these two rules for the last 8 years, and I have been ok.

Coolbreeze.... your Santa Star report contained the preceeding paragraph and yet over the last week you've posted about an underground poker/BJ room, flying to different casinos, going to the Riv to play more than 100x odds, etc. What happened to Once a year and Drive Only? Personally, I don't care how you want to spend your money - just thought the situation a little humorous ... in that uncomfortable sense ... like when you're at your kids graduation with your wife, ex wife and ex-inlaws (who are totally the devil).

As a matter of fact, I sincerely believe everything he says.
Making very good rules and then breaking them, willingly or unwillingly, that's exactly a gambling addict does.

I told you, I am a gambling addict. I am not lying. I've told myself that I am not going to bet more than $1000 a hand. Come watch me break that rule this weekend at the Riviera craps game.

Ah shit, I just realized I broke another one of my rules. I won't mention which.

But, I will take lots of pics for my trip report!!!

I never harm anyone from my gambling. I make enough money. I am going to cancel my Barona trip for Spring break. This will be my last gambling trip for the year.

I am using the money I won from the underground BJ game and the money I won from Santa Ana Star.

I really hope I lose it all, so that I can stop gambling for the year. I'm in full gamble mode because I won big the last month. I really want to lose it all. No joke.

Shit!!!!

I just realized something. I have a 25k rule. I wired way more than that into the Rivieras cage. Shit!!

Please don't bankrupt Riveria through your craps bet, so they keep the 1000x times odds through my upcoming trip :)

By the way, if you want to try an innovative AP strategy, why don't you try Stephen's strategy for counting Triple Attack Blackjack? I know for sure Harrah's had it last time I was there.

How about instead of losing your money, I put together a table games distribution company and you put up your gambling stake as seed money. That serves two purposes: one, you won't lose the funds at the tables, and two, you can invest in the future of the gaming industry. I know there are at least 3-5 people on this forum who have table game products in various stages of development, several are ready to go into casinos, and some even have patent protection already.

Besides, I think that's a more interesting gamble than making 200x odds bets. Plus you can win (uh, earn) a lot more.

It sounds like a great idea, MathExtremist, but unfortunately, as a sole member of my LLCs, I know my weaknesses. My weaknesses: I don't like sharing profits with a partner; I like making decisions on my own; I like being the boss; and I'm dumb enough and egotistical enough to actually believe that no one can make a better decision than I.

I would love to own a games distributing company though!

Owner vs. partner is just a structural thing. If you're serious about owning a gaming company, PM me. I can help you start one, and for the right price I have one to sell.
