That was very entertaining. Josh's story of the Louisiana Highway Patrol was equal parts entertaining and scary. I will be looking forward to more shows.

Growing up in Baltimore A friend of my Dad's showed up wearing a Louisiana Highway Patrol uniform. He was escorting a prisoner to New York. Dad insisted upon seeing his ID. Sure enough he was a patrolman. He was also illiterate and still signed his name with an X This was in the late 1950's. LOL

I just finished reading "Repeat Until Rich" a few weeks ago - I'll definitely "tune in" today.

Dancer seems to have a favorite lawyer he likes to come on and talk about rights, but I wonder if Flex Your Rights could be contacted and someone from there could come on? While listening I wondered about the whole business of whether it should be a private matter how much cash you have on you during a traffic stop for speeding, even if circumstances led to frisking like was described.

The guest on Thursday was Josh Axlerad, who wrote a BJ
book called 'Repeat Until Rich'. I got it Friday as a result
of listening to the show. Its not a very good book, I can't
understand how somebody with no writing experience
got a $300K advance. The book is disjointed and it rambles
around, the author states several times that he's not a writer,
and boy is he right. Its not really a BJ book, its more about
his feelings about it. And his gambling addiction problem, which
didn't start till he got the book deal and had quit playing BJ.
He lost his BR and all his winnings at online poker, which makes
no sense. How could he play as a pro for 5 years and then
discover he had a problem. The book has so many inconsistencies
and is so poorly written, I regret taking the time to read it.
For one thing, he never got 'rich' playing BJ. In an interview,
he says the most he ever made in one year was $110K. Thats
not rich, unless you live in Somalia. He claimed in another
interview that when he started writing the book, he realized
his memory for what happened in the 5 years he played was
not very good. This explains the vagueness in some of his
stories and lack of detail. Fully one third of the 225 pages is
devoted to his decline into gambling addiction. Yawn. This book
could have have easily been whittled down to a long magazine
article and not lost a bit of its non-relevance..
