Alberto Contador was stripped of his 2010 Tour de France title Monday and banned for two years after sport's highest court found the Spanish cyclist guilty of doping.

Its not that simple. Since it seems apparent that all the winners use banned substances, if you want to win that is the only way. They know that a clean athlete cannot compete with an enhanced one, so they decide it is positive EV to try and get away with it. The same thing in MLB. How many extra millions did Palmiero make because of steroids? Giambi? Bonds? etc... Since no one can successfully go after PAST earnings, even those won fraudulently, the cycle of cheating will continue. The sad part is there is some honest kid trying to make it to Major League Baseball, who is just a tad shy of the numbers needed.... because the doper just eked him out...

My sentiments exactly. I have a cousin who spent 5 years in the minors and just missed being called up for the Orioles at the end of the season. But lost out to 2 dopers. So he can never tell his kids he played in the majors. Even being called up for a cup of coffe means a lot. SIGH
