I'm kinda surprised that the stairwell is that narrow.
I had the same reaction, must have been
intimate when you passed somebody.

So indeed the WIZ was under 2x the leader's time on Saturday.

But we weren't counting those particular 2.6 people
who came in ahead of him !

I was surprised to pass by some pretty heavy people, about 250 pounds. They were just standing at the turns in the stairway, apparently in no hurry to keep going.
I wish I could see a full list of times but as far as I know they were only published for the top 50.
Somebody asked earlier about getting rescued half way up. I think the elevator has the ability to stop a various points along the way.
That was me that asked. I assume it can stop at those points where you mentioned there was a rest platform.Quote: WizardSomebody asked earlier about getting rescued half way up. I think the elevator has the ability to stop a various points along the way.
What kind of reception was waiting at the top?
And how did you get down? Stairs? Elevator? Zip Line? If it's the latter, where's the picture of that?

Oh, it's a charity event. I assume their goal is climbing to the top in exchange for donations received, not doing well in the race.

It seems likely. As I recall the elevators at the Strat tower do have buttons and indicators for various stops.

Out of 352 climbers I came in 73rd. So, that would put me in the 21st percentile. Not bad for my first time. The slowest person in the top 50, which advance to Sunday, had a time of 11:50, 51 seconds faster than me.
Somebody was asking about the slowest time. That was 1:02:37.

I'd be hoping to not bail out and to not come in last....
With motivation provided by the Wiz and Hotblonde,
should be no problemo.
I just went on www.hallucinationsports.com. It seems the 4th member of your "dream team" was the second to last finisher.
Ironic.
When I said I merely didn't want to be last, I didn't realize....

He took the elevator, he was in a hurry. He lost
his janitor job because of it, oh no..
That was about the Stratosphere climb.
The news story involved climb for the same charity event, but in a typical office building in Los Angeles.
