Hey guys, hotblonde made me get an account on here cause I love gambling and she thought that this site would be fun for me.. She always talking about stuff on here and how much fun everyone is on here :) She and I have been friends for a long time and we've had our own gambling trips. We spent several crazy days in Vegas where we gambles so much we got everything comped... Beluga caviar at the Bellagio, yeah baby! And I'm sure you read her blog where she tells of our trip to Chumash. Yep, that's me in the pics with her.

Just wanted to say hello and hope to talk with you all. Maybe even meet you guys in May when we're coming out to party for her birthday. God I miss Vegas!!!!

Beluga caviar can sell for $300 an ounce. I can only imagine the Bellagio's markup. How much action did you have to give them to get that kind of comp and how did you go about it? Did you charge it to the room and see the host upon checkout? If you're getting caviar, you much have gotten everything else comped, right?

I would imagine that major comps like that go to people to whom there is already an RFB or better notation. Few people would simply order such comps on spec that they would be favorably treated at checkout, although some gamblers will ask a floor man for a Dinner Comp to a high end restaurant after a bout of play that the casino should appreciate even though the gambler is not yet RFB there.

EH is giving me permission to answer on her behalf since we're laying in bed (no I'm not a lesbian) hungover and she wants to respond but is feeling more sick than I am so I volunteered.

Anyway when she and I went on that particular trip we just decided to put everything on our room hoping that at the end of our 4-5 day trip we would get some if not all of it comped. EH plays mostly baccarat, I play mostly blackjack. Anyway I knew she came with a $2000 or so bankroll but didn't realize that she was betting the minimum $25 per hand but quickly went up to $500 and even $1000 a hand. Anyway they quickly asked her if she wanted a host and of course she said yes. So we put our sushi, steak, caviar, champagne, etc. on the room. She told me when we got there that she wanted to win $5000 then stop. Well, she won it, but as ALL of us on here have experienced, greed set in and she wanted more. I encouraged her to stop or just go back to $25 a hand but she had a mind of her own.

Anyway the night before we left I decided to go for a walk down the strip while she was playing in the Mansion room at MGM Grand where we were staying and I quickly got a call from her saying she went through all her money and was just gonna hang out in our hotel room until we left the following day. They comped everything. I felt so bad for her so I told her she didn't have to pay the car gas on the way back which she originally was gonna do. Plus my stuff that I put on the room was comped too so it was no big deal. Also I was up $2000 that trip and didn't want to rub it in.

At the time I thought she only lost the $2000 she originally came with and I assumed she had pulled out an extra $1000. She told me it was more like $5000. And today, as we lay here in bed she's telling me it was actually $7000 of her own money. Yikes!

Well I don't know how beat up she was inside. Honestly you could tell it stung but she didn't seem too emotional over it. And honestly, and I'm just speaking from my perception, we both still had a lot of fun. Even on trips where I lose I can still leave with great memories.

So at one point she was up 5k, and she lost it plus
7k of her own money? It sounds like she doesn't
understand how devastating the fluctuations in BJ
can be.

Actually she just corrected me. She was up $5000 and lost $7000 from there so her net loss was $2000. And she played baccarat. I was the one playing blackjack.

Two hotties,,, each hungover ...
what more could any of us dream for?

Well, it was courageous of you to just charge everything to the room and then hope to get it comped. Glad it worked out for you.

How many hands per hour were dealt at the bac table and how long did it take to lose the $7000?

Curious whether female players, as here, can get better comps for their play. Opinions?

I think that strange sound I just heard was Ben's BS meter reaching unprecedented levels. I would not be surprised if females got more comps, although having played with females this hasn't been the case. If a female is so drunk as to gamble away 7gs and not remember it, I would eagerly compensate her whatever her lil heart desires. I would of course do the same for her male counterpart in the same situation.

Roger that, Roger! It looks like I have a tell so I shouldn't take up poker.

The casino's only job is to separate players from their money and the issuance of comps is one of the many ways they do it. It's all about what's in it for the casino. Las Vegas strip hosts are very smart and very good at evaluating players. When a male or female sits at a table in an alcohol induced blackout and loses $7000 in a short amount of time then stops playing what is in it for the casino? Not a heck of a lot.

The OP stated she loves gambling so I asked the only gambling question in this entire thread because I was interested in MGM's comp formula. Unfortunately, she was drunk and didn't remember.

I wonder if she or her official spokesperson would share with us the circumstances of the Beluga caviar comp at the Bellagio. Did the MGM host call the Bellagio host and set it up? Was this expensive comp given before or after the MGM comps? Let me guess, too drunk to remember.

Being her official spokesperson I will say that I'm not sure in the first place it is $300 an ounce. I remember it being only around $100 or so. So it's possible that maybe we only had half an ounce or so. I don't know, it's probably searchable online. We just went and sat at that Bellagio section that is right in front of the lobby section there. We just ordered caviar that came with crackers and toppings and so. We also ordered champagne too. No host set it up we just went there and did that. Just like when we went to eat sushi or steaks or whatever. And we never even met her host, he just communicated with us by phone if I remember. And EH says she was too drunk to remember how long it took her to lose it but she was only half joking. While she and I like to drink and have fun we don't usually get so drunk that we don't remember things although it does happen with us once in a while. That particular trip I don't remember her being that drunk, I think she was too lazy to think of the answer yesterday to how long it took her to lose it. We were there 4 or 5 days or so an I'd say she was up $5000 around half way through or so. She didn't want to be specific about answering cuz she's not like me, a numbers person. It's funny cuz although she and I get along really well she and I are different in so many ways. In the way we are with men, our outlooks on life, our physical appearances, out ideas about love, honesty, money, commitments, etc. I guess that's why they say opposites attract. I told her recently that I noticed that she is the one friend I could hang around every single day and not grow tired of her. I think she feels the same as is why we're constantly checking in to places together all over the place. Unfortunately I have to work where she doesnt really work but I would love to hang out every day if I could. And just a heads up although I'm going to encourage her to participate in the forum don't expect her to have as much activity on here as I do. One of the countless ways she and I are different.
