There was a lot of mystery TV shows on 50 years ago where old people who are taking nitro-meds are suddenly separated from their meds due to kidnapping or something and will the crime-stoppers rescue them in time?

Just had my first EKG, it was very short, just a few seconds; doctor says I might have had a myocardial infarction. So I went to get a heart scan the other day, and the scanner was pressing on the side on one of my ribs so hard I thought she was trying to break a rib. I haven't gotten the results yet but will soon. It took about 45 minutes with extensive computer work there. Apparently the scanner knows what's wrong if anything but they aren't allowed to tell you and they send the report on to the doctor to write up a patient report.

"A heart attack and an infarction are the exact same event; "myocardial infarction" (MI) is the formal medical term for a heart attack. Both terms describe a life-threatening circulation problem where blood and oxygen flow to a section of the heart muscle is severely blocked, causing that tissue to die." - Mayo Clinic

I remember I was in a casino buffet about 30 years ago and the medics came with a stretcher to a nearby slot machine to wheel away an 80-something year old man who had passed out at the slot machine. Suddenly I passed out at the cafeteria table. My eyes went dark like a CRT TV going out and I couldn't talk or move, I barely had enough movement to put my head down on my arms on the table and take a 15 minute nap. Eventually I recovered enough to finish my meal. Makes me think it was something I ate rather than the ghost of the 80 year old taking me with him. But I couldn't very well scream for a medic to come over even though they were 100 feet away in a noisy dome room.

My Mother was complaining of pain in her shoulder and in her gallbladder for well over a week before she died. Her autopsy revealed she'd had a series of heart attacks. Please be careful.

I will say that nitroglycerin is wild.
In order to have it work, you have to let it soak into your blood through your tongue. Any other delivery route is probably too slow.

I think I got a little woozy in about a minute as it soaked in and all the blood vessels dilated. The medics had me strapped to a gurney at the time, so I managed not to fall over.
May the cards fall in your favor.

I had a perceived aortic aneurysm when I was 30. My belly would throb with my heartbeat and it would get worse quite quickly. A relative who did homeopathic medicine recommended I take a large dose (1,000 mcg) of Vitamin B12 sublingually at least daily, and keep some on hand in case I had symptoms away from home. It was the cure since I didn't die and the symptoms went away after a couple years and I stopped taking it. But while I was taking it, it gave fast relief to my throbbing belly. An aneurysm of that sort is deadly in minutes, but I never had it diagnosed by the medical field. I was also unbelievable with my EMF claims at the time (caused burning eyes).

I asked the scanner if they could check for an aortic aneurysm in my belly this time, but she said it wasn't ordered and she'd have to use a different probe.

I don't trust my diet since I stopped eating King Vitamin for breakfast, so I take daily multivitamins now.

IV nitro works faster, but can cause unstable blood pressure, which means only for use in the hospital with heart monitoring.

I have been on a high dose blood pressure medicine that is mainly given to patients with renal issue (Nifedipine 90mg). It has done wonders for my BP since my BP was 251/153. I am now in the normal range as my BP was 134/83 yesterday. I assume I will be getting a phone call today to go back to a cardiologist since I haven't seen one in over five years.

Living in Florida, I should probably get rid of the lawn flamingo and get one of these i just saw listed. I think it would look best down by the river bank and painted a more realistic color.

(I don’t really have a flamingo, but they used to be really common)

Poisoned: The Dirty Truth About Your Food (2023) - Netflix
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt27548083/

Washing your veggies is not enough today. Food needs to be cooked to 158 degrees.
A diarrhea-causing parasite has now infected over 1,000 Americans, spreading across 29 states.
Taco Bell has removed lettuce, guac, pico and onion from several locations because of a diarrhea parasite.
There's a fast-moving panic on lettuce distributed by the largest companies. A full boycott is expected soon.
Fast food food cross-contamination could shut down fast food restaurants.
Sickness can occur a week after infection with diarrhea lasting up to a week or longer.

RT: Cyclosporiasis, the parasite causing the current explosive diarrhea outbreak, is at a level 20x higher than its yearly average.
This comes just 1 year after the Trump admin removed a cyclospora tracking mandate from the 'Foodborne Disease Active Surveillance Network.'

RT: WASH YALL HANDS !!!
This Explosive diarrhea in North Carolina caused by parasite Cyclospora has increased !! Now including 18 states.
People reporting 10-20 times in the bathroom per 1-2hrs, dehydration ..

RT: Taylor Farms is likely the source of the parasite that’s spreading across the country.

Do you realize how cyclosporiasis is spread?

Quote: CDC

Cyclosporiasis is an intestinal infection that spreads when people ingest food or water contaminated with stool.

I think the problem can be addressed by hiring more, not fewer federal workers. For Immigration and Customs Enforcement, specifically.

Cyclosporiasis and similar infections are spread when people ingest food or water NOT TESTED for contamination. Elon and his Dooges laid off a thousand food inspectors and hundreds of support staff. Just a big coincidence.
The remaining food inspectors now have had their workload doubled, and their workdays extended. No new trainees have been hired, but that's okay, since the senior agents who led the training classes were all laid off, as younger inspectors make less money for doing the same job.

No, it is not cattle crap. This is human cyclosporiasis, and it is from the people employed to pick the crops who are from cultures where it is socially acceptable to pull down your pants and go cocky-doodle right in the field where they are working. Dirty!

It's also the nature of diarrheal illness. These things evolved with us and as we developed sanitation to prevent the spread of such disease, the disease organisms also evolved as to not give you much choice of when and where it comes out, allowing their propagation despite the existence of latrines. You don't make it to the latrine.

The solution is to employ as food handlers and crop pickers only people who know to stay home if they have the diarrhea, because fouling the workplace with it would be unthinkable. Also that they have rights, that they are not going to lose their jobs and/or get deported if they call out sick with a condition like that, and that even if they are the lowest paid workers in our economy they are entitled to Medicaid and can get some treatment for this ailment. And yes, I'm willing to spend 10 cents more for a head of lettuce to subsidize that. It is the greedy employers, who would rather have an extra 10 cents for every head of lettuce that object to this system I described.

As opposed to what? Using the portable bathrooms their employers set up near the fields? I don't see many port-a-potties in fields.
Have you ever been hunting or fishing? Worked a ten-hour day in a field where the nearest bathroom is miles away?
But do tell me more about these cultures that go cocky doodle whenever and wherever they wish. I'm intrigued.

I saw a photo of gas lines on a Russian interstate and there were port-a-potties for miles where the cars were lined up. Today I see people are riding horses on the roads and going straight-up 19th century.

I've been in environments where sanitary facilities are rare and non-existent. I find a facility before I go there, and if I thought I had a problem where I might be blowing diarrhea all over the place I stay home. Just like if I had the flu. Through the power of evolution, we can "train" our diseases to present in less virulent ways by isolating ourselves when we are sick, so the only chance that pathogen has to survive and multiply is to be subtle, produce asymptomatic or very mildly symptomatic infections that allow us to walk around and spread them to others. Cowpox was such a mild infection, spreading from cow to human hand to cow, but if it hurt either the cow or the hand too badly the cow milking activity would stop and the virus would disappear.

I finally looked it up, I kept wondering what all these double digit IQ people you see in videos and in real life are doing on their phones all the time. They get arrested for something in a Youtube video and they literally have to pry their phones out of their hands. Turns out people with IQ's under 100 worldwide are primarily looking at social media. Things like tik tok and Instagram and X. They are absolutely addicted to them and spend every spare minute they have checking what's going on. Smarter people with an IQ over 110 spend almost zero time on social media. They use their phones mostly as a cognitive expansion tool looking up questions they want answers to or watching informative videos on Youtube or just generally satisfying an insatiable curiosity about everything.

For myself the only social media platform I'm on is Facebook and that's just to keep up with family. I rarely post anything there and I certainly don't read it outside of family members posts. Tik Tok and Instagram and X I have never looked at let alone have an account on. What I mostly use my phone for is looking things up. I do it all day long. I'll stop what I'm doing and ask Google how many packs of cigarettes John Wayne smoked a day. Or what BO Derek's net worth is. Or how come raccoons can eat spoiled garbage that would kill a human and it doesn't bother them at all. Those are just the questions I asked in the last hour. Google is a dream come true for me, quite literally. I have always been extremely interested in everything and I used to write things down on a list before the Internet and go to the bookstore and the library every 10 days and look things up. Being able to get instant answers to my questions, and my questions are endless, feels like I'm living in an episode of Star Trek every day. I would not waste 1 10th of one second on social media.

I use MeWe. Same format as Facebook, but bright and flexible, privacy-centered, lighthanded moderation and free of ideological censorship.

For I don't mind being told I can't post nudez. They don't care too much about profanity, but will eventually shut you down if you're an ass about it. Harassment, threats, doxxing, anything that's a crime in the US they kick you off the platform for. All topics are permitted, but I don't mind a "no politics" rule like on this site. This isn't the only place I've been where politics isn't allowed. But I will not participate on a site like Facebook where you are free to extol one side of a political or social issue but not the other. If I tolerate that I'm part of the problem.

We used to have politics here and we had a lot of heated discussions until about 10 years ago. After the 2016 election things went nuts and politics had to be banned. My wife and I have a older woman friend who was a perfectly nice person for the whole time we knew her never had a bad word to say about anybody. But ever since the 2016 election she has gone insane. I mean literally insane over politics. So it was banned here or it would have taken over the entire forum.

Just found out there's a new type of blood clot for the COVID age but only the embalmers know and they aren't talking. These are fibrous 6 inch clots from the spike protein whether from disease or the vaccine. People getting POTS or other leg issues from COVID should beware. Not sure if scans are being done on the living. A quarter of the dead have them.

Of course the film Died Suddenly was referred to. I've never heard of it but here's the Wiki.
Died Suddenly https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Died_Suddenly
The 2022 anti-vaccine conspiracy film Died Suddenly is not available on major mainstream platforms. It primarily streams on independent video hosting platforms like Rumble and Subsplash.

Oh my. I know a few people that happened to also. And I know why- a certain line was crossed that year for probably the first time in our history.

We've always vilified our politicians. Especially in the English-speaking world, we don't like them very much and see them as more like barely necessary pests than heroes. So it's always been acceptable to say "That man running for office is evil and he will destroy us if he is elected!" Do you believe that? If so- fine, don't vote for him. Even if you do believe the hyperbole, it can be addressed within the democratic process and you only participate in that one Tuesday in November, with a secret ballot. After the election the kayfabe no longer serves a purpose and is set aside.

But what changed recently was somewhat subtle but very significant- we started vilifying the electorate. Instead of merely "That candidate is your enemy!" the rhetoric shifted to "Everyone who supports that candidate is your enemy! They are voting to enslave you! They are voting to kill you! What are you going to do about it?" And that can't be addressed within the democratic process (especially when the targeted candidate wins) because while you can vote a candidate out, you can't vote the voters out. How do you deal with people who are voting to kill you? You can strip them of their political rights, you can ship them off to camps, or you can execute them. Convince people that they have to do this to protect themselves from their neighbors and you get political violence and ultimately a civil war. At this point it's mostly people who were weak-minded and unstable to begin with who can be convinced that they are entitled to or perhaps obligated to harm their neighbor who sees the world differently and exercises their political rights accordingly, but with enough of that the conflict takes on a life of its own, drags more people in and continues even after everyone has outgrown whatever caused the conflict to begin with.

Anyone who is a member of the basket of deplorables deserves to be vilified for putting such an evil man in office. Anyone who supports someone who wants to destroy our democracy and steal from the taxpayers is an idiot and deserves to be identified as such.

It's like if you queried a group of tourists at an art exhibit what they thought of various paintings, and then suddenly you present them with a choice between another painting and a flaming pile of dog poop. The tourists who prefer the dog poop would be labeled as retards and rightly so.

Pardon my rant.
Twice a year, I take my excess cash from the last six months and distribute about half of it to charities I don't usually support. While looking at various causes, I came across one my mom used to support. I planned to donate $100, but the site kept asking me to do $55 a month. I had to make multiple changes to keep it at a $100 one-time contribution. Next, it asked for $5.40 cents to cover the cost of processing the payment. Then it mentioned that while their staff was mostly volunteers, they still had to cover workers' compensation and such, so could I donate another 15% so that all of my original donation goes to the cause?
Two minutes after I finished up, I got an email receipt that informed me that many one-time contributors become monthly subscribers.
Now, my YouTube feed is showing ads to become a monthly donor. I hope they use my donation well. It is the last $106 they'll get from me.

Facebook is great if you need an item at absolutely bargain-basement price and don't need it anytime soon. I've waited up to 4 months to get an item at probably 5% of its actual value. Put your requirements on Marketplace and wait. Only thing I don't like is it doesn't allow enough specifics.

I only signed up about 3 years ago.

I pay more attention to the causes I regularly support, but I do look at a charity's rankings before I donate. Some charities don't have good ratings because they spend their money differently from others doing similar work, so ratings are the end-all for my donations.

staying in a nursing home costs about $144,000 per year
slightly more or slightly less depending of whether or not you have a private room
you are required to spend down all of your assets to pay for it
after all of your assets have disappeared you are put on Medicare and you are allowed to stay
then, they put you in a room with 4 beds

hope I never need to go into one

Medicare doesn't pay for nursing homes

You will have to use up all your assets and then it's Medicaid that you get for help. True, people hide their assets ... generally speaking, the government lets it go I think, avoiding the spectacle of going after people. I don't know much about this aspect of it though. I do know many people use very simple means of transferring within the family ... I've heard it said that you better not do that at the same time scrutiny would be obviously in effect

I worked in a nursing home in high school. We generally had three types of residents.
First, we had people recovering from major surgery. They weren't unwell enough to convalesce in hospital, but they weren't yet well enough to do for themselves at home. These typically checked out and went home in about 5 weeks.
Second were the long timers. These residents often had several concurrent medical problems, and their families were either unwilling or unable to provide the in home support needed. These were often people who needed a crane to get them in and out of their power scooter, or people who dragged their oxygen tank outside to chain smoke before their ride to dialysis arrived.
Third were the short timers. It was surprisingly common for people to decide that they were ready to finally go to 'the home', get their affairs in order, move in, and die peacefully within a few days.

There were also assisted living (mostly normal apartments but with call buttons and a cleaning service) and dementia (lockdown) wings, but I didn't deal much with those.
May the cards fall in your favor.

My wife's parents both lived (and died) in assisted living - my mother-in-law had Alzheimer's and there were safety issues caused by her deepening dementia; my father-in-law after a couple of strokes. They both had single rooms in assisted living homes.

The best ways to keep out of assisted listing homes seem to be
(1) to have family members -usually children or siblings - that truly love you and who are financially able to care for you within their homes
(2) avoid dieing of dementia; keep all your marbles
(3) to die relatively suddenly of cardiac issues or from a traumatic accident
(4) to die from cancer or other fatal disease under a doctor's care (die in a hospital or hospice)

I don't know it all. Did I get this wrong?
So many better men, a few of them friends, are dead. And a thousand thousand slimy things live on, and so do I.

Nursing homes would be a lot better if you could pull up a 24/7 camera on your family member that even many doggy daycare places have.. Obviously, you wouldn't be allowed to observe other patients,

Write your appropriate authority about it.

The government doesn't let this go, at least here in MA. There is a lookback period where they will go after assets you thought were protected, if they weren't protected in time.
