I don't understand what the issue is bringing cash in from Canada unless you are trying to hide your winnings.

I doubt if either of those controllers have been sleeping well.
It wasn't long before some armchair detectives realized some of the books were among the missing Church collection, and dealers from all over raced to the auction. The books ended up selling for $ 1.2 million, an incredible amount for raw books but a fraction of what graded and certified Mile High/Church books would have sold for.
One dealer claimed he offered a million-dollar advance and to cover the grading cost but the owner went with the small auction house.
How books missing from a Denver basement ended up in Minnesota will make for an interesting story. As far as I'm aware, this is the first cache of the missing Church books to show up.
Edgar Chuch was an artist who bought copies of almost every comic from 1939 to the mid-1950s and stored them in conditions that kept them looking brand new. He also kept accurate records of each purchase. When he got old, his family put him in a nursing home and illegally sold his collection. Although he bought 23,000 books, only 20,00 were sold. it was long thought the family may have thrown out some boxes before they realized they were worth money. The family approached several big dealers but failed to make a deal.
A young hustler borrowed $1,000 and offered a dime a book. It turned out there were many more books than expected, and he had to sell some off in order to pay for the rest. Many copies were the finest known examples when they came onto the market. The then-18-year-old buyer used the collection to establish himself as the world's largest comic dealer, a title he held for almost forty years.

It was agreed that the election would be decided by a single hand of high card. A coin flip determined the incumbent to go first, and he drew the three of Diamonds. The challenger went, and he also drew a three, but of Clubs. The agreed-upon rules stated in the case of a tie, suits would determine the winner, and Diamonds ranked higher than clubs. This was actually the second time the office holder had won via a hand of cards. He originally won the seat in 2014 in a hand of poker after the election ended in a tie.
Ironically, the winner's spouse and adult child were out of town and didn't vote in the election.

Today I packed the wife out and took her to the airport for her trip to Glasgow at 4am. I have five days alone and plan to eat shrimp and crab everyday while she is gone (she is allergic to shellfish so I can't have it when she is around).
I am rarely jealous of her travels but I am of this trip. She gets to fly on a Tecnam P2012 which is a plane I have wanted to fly on for years. It is a rare piston powered commercial aircraft. I have flown on almost every type of commercial plane that flies in the U.S. and Europe but haven't had the privilege of the Tecnam.

I was thinking the same- that's a small plane for a transatlantic flight, but quite magnanimous of them to fly the US flag in honor of our courageous citizens who made such a challenging journey.
Reminds me of when I used to fly a bit out of Sikorsky Airport in Stratford. (Stratford-on-Housatonic, not Stratford-on-Avon!) Those planes were so small there was no lavatory, and as the captain explained if you were to get up to use a lavatory you would destabilize the plane. I used to have to knuckle-walk on and off.

I like it when their hearing is bad too It's like winning the lottery.
I suppose you could evacuate to a personal underground bunker in the rock. But that would be a fairly unpleasant situation to be trapped, hoping they get you out in time.

We had a storm yesterday that only lasted less than an hour but it was a crazy downpour. My lanai flooded and I had water coming into the house at the sliding glass doors.
In a place like Vegas where rain is rare and urban life is dirty, it troubles me to think about how polluted the waters in the drains and gutters must be when it floods. Especially around the places where the bums sleep and not only human wastes but human remains are likely.

As opposed to the animal and fish waste that's in Lake Meade?
Tucson once had three year-round rivers, and in the thirties they built a system of floodgates to divert the rivers into side channels. The rivers are dry now 360 days or more, but everything is flowing today. Lots of sightseeing along the river walks. My neighbor says it's the first time she's seen the Santa Cruz acting like a river in the 10 years she's lived here.

The only way I'm going to get a disease from a fish is if I eat it improperly cooked. Same for most animals. Rabies is universal for warm-blooded animals but other than that there isn't much I can catch from a coyote or a wild cat. A rodent is an exception but a bum is likely to have anything a rat has plus a lot of things they don't carry.
Riverwalks are very nice. The one in San Antonio is well known but the one in Providence I think is even more enjoyable.

Don't forget about the dead bodies in Lake Mead. Many years ago I was out fishing in my boat and came upon a floating dead body. I called the park service and they came out and fished it out. I was surprised, they offered me and my fishing buddy free grief counselling if we wanted it. Honestly, it didn't cause me any grief.
Andy Cooper was a notorious outlaw who supposedly had gunned down several lawmen, so when the Navajo County Sheriff came to town with an arrest warrant, people didn't like his chances. Cooper and his crew had just shot up a ranch outside town, killing two men and wounding several more.
On September 4th, 1887, Sheriff Perry Owens executed an arrest warrant on the men.
As Cooper approached the house he was at, he was confronted by three henchmen. In the next thirty seconds, Sheriff Owens shot three men dead and took a wounded man into custody. He faced down a crowd of Cooper's friends and took his prisoner to the County jail. He arranged for a troop from the nearby fort to garrison the town and shut down all saloons for 30 days, bringing law and order to the town. Until Wyatt Earp went Hollywood and publicized the gunfight at the OK Corral, this was considered the most notorious shootout in the West.
Townsfolk claim that the song "Big Iron," popularized by the Grateful Dead, was inspired by the events of September 4th.
Holbrook was recently selected as the worst small town in Arizona and is considered one of the worst places to live in the country. It is, however, a fun place to visit.

Those are primate bites! Self-inflicted bite wounds on the hands and arms often happen to psychiatric subjects. The one on the forearm looks self-inflicted, and the one near the elbow, it's remotely possible he could have done that to himself depending on his flexibility, but you also get a bite like that when you are grappling with an enemy and forcing your elbow into his face. Did that all happen on the plane? What the heck was going on up there?

I have hit two deer and it does give you scare. I also had one come out of a ditch at full speed and jump over my car. His rear hoove did hit just above the rear window and left a small dent.

When I lived in Fort Lauderdale, there was a dive bar called Eds Bloodshot Eye, which had a slogan that went
something like: " You bring the blood, we supply the buckets." It was the sort of place where a squad car or two would stop by at 8 AM.

164 nations approved the change, while only one voted against it. No word on when the new map will officially be used by every country.

Opposition to this map by one country is such a non-issue. Maps and globes need to be accurate and precise as possible. The older projections used were not. They were useful, but not accurate nor precise. This newest projection is, while the older projections perfectly suitable for navigation.
Oppostiiton is such a non-issue, except for snowflake nations, upset the map put them into their place and shatters their (literally) inflated world view of themselves.
